That 3 consecutive corners for Siena, I thought that was it.

Seriously, our defence looks really shaky

Very happy with the fact that Ronaldinho was virtually involved with every attacking play.

Nesta was superb, and Pirlo played well.

Good start! Forza Milan!

Since Sept 2005, our opening games in Serie A have always been draws or losses I believe, so this is positive!

Some will say it is useless, but here is the ranking of Serie A:

1st - Milan (3 pts)
2nd - Bologna (1 pt)
3rd - Fiorentina (1 pt)
...
20th - Sienna (0 pt)

Games of tomorrow:
Inter - Bari
Juventus - Chievo
Genoa - Roma
Parlermo - Napoli

Only caught the second half with laggy stream but nice win.
Ronaldinho sure can pass, he and Pato would become a deadly duals. Saw a little from others and that made me worry a little bit.
But off to a good start

Props for Flamini too. He supported the attack really well. If he plays like this then I don't think we would need to buy a new midfielder.

A good day in the office.

Great start to the season and the main positive to come out of this match (besides the win) is Pato is a genius!

As for the team, Storari didn't have a huge amount to do but wasn't too confident imo. I look forward to Abbiati's return really. I felt the CB's were excellent and are becoming quite a strong unit, but our fullbacks are awful. Zambro was slow and sluggish all night and simply couldn't keep up with Maccarone and Janku was his usual self, which means despite his workrate, he didn't really have a lot to offer.

Our midfield was excellent. Rino is sticking to his role as a destroyer and looked good, while Pirlo is playing with a little more freedom and his contribution is a lot better. Flamini is really wonderful to watch as Leo is using him exactly as I'd hoped. Basically he starts deep, but will support going forward and provide width, leaving Pato free to move inwards to get to into striking positions. Fantastic stuff to see and we saw the result on the second goal.

Dinho wasn't always in the game, but his impact was important. He played fantastic passes for the two goals and really this season I hope to see him do this often, as I doubt he'll be able to run at players like the past.

Borriello, despite his effort wasn't too effective. I really have doubts about him this season and despite some decent contribution, none of my worries are quelled. As for Pato, well...he should have had a hattrick

Frankly, this team has a long way to go. It's playing in patches and when under pressure we look a little distorted. That said, plenty of positives to take from this match and Leo's influence is clear to see. The team's movement and the way we press is nice, as well as our timing on the ball and how patient we are (we time our attacks and unlike previous years we're not simply passing across the midfield). What was nice is we managed the game well in the second half, with Siena not able to sustain more than 5-10 minutes of pressure before we killed things off.

If we get a good fullback this summer, we genuinely have a chance to do well this campaign based on what we're seeing of late. However, if we don't, then I can't say I'm too confident.
