I'm 99% sure Nesta is playing. The doubtful ones are Seedorf and Zambrotta. Pato is out.
What about Inter? What's their situation? Thiago Motta, Samuel, Cambiaso, Muntari and Stankovic specifically. Who's playing?

Nesta will play. It's just mind games. And I just want to say that we're all on this site routing for the same team, let's stay united and stop starting arguments.
what do you all. Think about antonini guarding maicon? And is ambro going to be shadowing sneijder? Let's gets some positive threads going before the game

Sneijder and Cambiasso are fit. Muntari,Motta and Stankovic are not playing. But i heard Seedorf would resume training today. Pato and Zambrotta are out for sure.

It seems Pato & Zambrotta are definitely out, Seedorf will make (probably to the bench) and Nest will SURELY be there (i don't even want to consider anything else)!!!
About Inter, it was mentioned here before but i would just like to reiterate that they only have 3 players who can make the difference offensively: Milito, Sneider, & Maicon. I agree it will be a huge test for Antonini to match-up against Maicon, but so will it for any left back in the world and that is why it is imperative to have a DM there helping him out (i'm thinking Ambro)...i don't want to tie Dinho down with too many defensive duties (although that doesn't mean he has none) especially with Pato out and Seedorf on the bench, he is our major attacking threat with Borriello. As for Sneider, our other DM will probably have to man mark him since he has been in great form lately, easily their best player out there. (not a big fan of man marking nor of Gattuso, but that is probably what the best thing would be). As for Milito, i think that will be our least of the 3 worries (obviously considering Nesta will make it, otherwise he is going to be a nightmare )Defensively, i would have definitely preferred if Cambiasso was out, but apparently he is going to make it, he's a huge player for them there. I would have so much preferred if Muntari was there but seems he won't ![]() Regarding their back line, Samuel is not suspended (that's what i have read) so he will be there with Lucio but i am not sure if it will be Cordoba, Santon, or even Zanetti back on the left but in any case, with Pato out, that wing isn't gonna see much action, unlike Dinho-Maicon which i and obviously the whole world will be really looking forward to. Still one very important thing for me is the way we play Borriello: looking back at the way Bari played them on offence, they never went for long balls because their players can never win aerial challenges with Lucio & Samuel and to be honest, even if Borriello is better than Bari's forward in the air, i still think he will really suffer so i think we will get much better results with ground passing and running at both Lucio & Samuel given also how they were torn apart by Bari playing that way. Obviously Pirlo & Beckham should complete our midfield with Ambro & Gattuso given Seedorf is not fully fit and should start on the bench and that this formation has actually scored 12 goals in 3 matches and conceded 2. That's all i can think about so far....we still have more than 3 days for the match so a lot of time to discuss much more.... I can't wait to show them that even their luck won't be enough this time. Great post Ganjarb, I see we have the champion factor on our side. It's also interesting to see how big a champion Seedorf really is.

Well, everyone. I am not into offensing anyone either.
I can see that all, or at least most, of us agree that the best pair for our central defense at this very moment consists of Nesta and T. Silva. If one of them happens to be injured, let's Leo decide, he might think Kala is the best subtitute (just like I do), or he might think it's Favalli, like some other posters said. Well, I wouldn't be surprised if he chooses Bonera instead. Whoever.. I would support him and the team. Forza Milan!

I remember the last derby..
It was only the second game of the season, we won our first game away at Siena, Inter drew at home against new-promoted team, Bari. We were optimistic and looking forward to being 5 points clear over Inter. And, sadly, we in the end were heavily beaten 4 goals to nothing by the Ne****zurri. I am confident that this time the story would be different. We might not be able to play Pato, but Dinho and Boriello are really on-fire. The other departments are having no real problem. I really want to beat them till they are black and blue, just like their nickname. It will remedy the gap to 3 points, and with one game in hand, we can close it. Moreover, it is important for boasting the confidence level of the team. Forza Milan!

Don't forget Stankovic LeBrn, if he plays that is, he has always been a constant threat in the derby games and always scores against Milan, he's something like Seedorf plays amazingly in big games so I pray he won't be available.

something else i forgot to mention was SET PIECES: although this is something that was a major weakness of ours against any side, against Inter it was even worse because they have so many tall players and we had no idea where and how to mark them...we used to look like a bunch of kids. well, not anymore, i think we can even outdo them in that area as well on Sunday. on another note, after today's tests, there seem to be big optimism on Nesta's situation although a definite decision will be made tomorrow. http://www.tuttomercatoweb.com/milan...dnotizia=16467 here's another article on Nesta: http://goal.com/en/news/1717/editori...r-milan-are-in and i don't know if i should laugh or cry on the comment made on Kaladze :S |

Anyway, hoping Nesta is gonna be cleared all the time. He's our most important player, without him I don't see the chances beeing very good. With him I think we're favorites. FORZA MILAN |

I wouldn't read too much into these right now, as both sides are going to jerk each other around with "woe-is-us" stories leading up to the big match.
