So, it's half time, and clearly we are playing against a team that is literally playing 11 players behind the ball.
Abate's crosses have been 50/50, but, he's become much more sound defensively. I don't see how people are calling him average, I think he's a fantastic player and so useful. He can play as RB, RM, RW, he really will be a big part of Milan's future, even if we get a WC RB, Abate will be very important for Milan's future. Gattuso actually has played pretty well, tracking back and I have to say Ambro has not done a bad job either. Pirlo has been doing well today as well. Bonera, defensively has not been bad, but, he clearly is not comfortable on that left side, but, I feel like Nesta will be rested, Bonera moved to the center and Janku put on the left. Pato is getting double and triple teamed, and Dinho has moved to the center to try and change up the dynamic on the field and his assist to Borriello was great, as was Borri's fantastic finish. Honestly, Bari is making this game ugly, they are clearly putting everyone behind the ball, and credit to them, it was looking like it might be able to hold up. But, credit to Dinho, he really has taken charge and really started opening up space with his movement. That is also like Borri's 3rd goal from that sort of angle, he really loves the left footed volley, doesn't he? I hope he can start hitting some consistent form, because we really need a scoring striker. |

It is interesting how Borriello could score those difficult goals yet he couldn't control and shoot as most others do. Kind of reminds me of Bierhoff, whose head was much more accurate than his feet.

the possession was 70-30. maybe that will change in the second half considering that Bari has to come out to attack.
Gattuso was very good today, which has become a rarity these days. Please keep it up. ![]()

Pato really sucks on the right side. It's a complete waste of his talent and really limits his game. I want to see us try Dinho as trequartista behind Pato and Borriello for a little while in the second half so that Pato can benefit from Dinho's through balls just as much as Boriello. Pato's decision making sucks so bad on the right that it's almost funny. We should put him back as a striker where he does not have to think too much...just shoot on target.
Nice pass from Dinho to Borriello for that goal. We needed that because Bari literally had 11 men in their half of the field for the majority of the game. The ref has been reaaaallly lenient as I felt that we got away with a bunch of fouls that another ref would have given (e.g. Bonera's tug in the penalty box, Gattuso's initial challenge from behind on their striker during a counter-attack, etc.) . |

Best part of this game to me is seeing Dinho's willingness to drift into the middle to help give the team more options, making himself a constant thorn in Bari's defense.
