Pato is really young, however Huntelar and Benzema are firm established experienced players, who can make an immediate impact in our game

Milan need to start thinking about who they are going to get to replace Maldini once he retires at the end of this season. Zambrotta is really keen on making a move to milan, and cannavaro would like to come back to Italy, so 2 great Italian defenders that could mke the move, but dont get me wrong it will be extremely ahrd to replace a player like him.

Benzema is only 2 years older than Pato and doesn't have a great deal of experience.

i would have to disagree he has expierence in the CL...as well as with france NT and is amazing in league 1...prime example is how well he preformed against rangers..i personally think he is too good to play in league 1 in a couple of years he will realize this and would want to move to a bigger league (hopefully serie A to milan)

There's no way in hell we're going to sign Benzema, our management says that Ronaldo has AT LEAST 5 good years still in him, plus we're Catania, we don't have the money to sign anyone, unless they are 34 and free!!!

So, let's just look at over the hill strikers to save our season...

Here is a list of players milan should look into:
Ronaldinho- for obvious reasons. This is the time to get him; he is tired of Barca, wants to play in Milan, will help keep Kaka here, jersey sales, Berlu's dream, revolutionary, n good for another 4-5 yrs.
zambrotta- wants to be here, we all noe how good he is, simply a matter of putting pen to paper.
foggia- had a falling out at current club, and he is just brilliant. I would beg him to come back.
alex- Chelsea defender, we have admired him for ages, and Chelsea mite be liable to sell a few players if they do not win this year. I think we mite have a chance to pick him up if we are persistent, since he would most like love a move here.
Frey- Fiore cannot pay his wages, and he wants some Cl soccer, I think he would easily make the switch.
Rosina- He is consistently awesome and we can use him in all of our serie a games. He would be an excellent back up for pirlo/kaka
g.rossi- young and awesome, one of italy's rising stars. He would be great to have, especially as a 3rd striker.
abbiati- quality backup
oliveira- bring him back for another go at it
marzarotti-good back up
grimi-decent back up
borrielo-excellent 5th striker

players we should get rid of:
gilardino- time to swallow our pride and sell him. He won't fullfull potential with us.
ronaldo-a lot of drama, zero results.
brochi- not very useful anymore, dead weight
favalli- too old, no point of keeping him.
dida- he can go where he wants as he won't accept being a back up
kalac- plane ticket to australia
maldini- retire with grace

i realize this won't all happen, but this is what i have in mind, albeit not very realistic.

this would be interesting to say the least.

Milan is almost certain to play with 4-3-1-2 with Pato joining Milan next term. Expect to see this for the next half of the season:

Dida
Oddo (Bonera/Cafu) Nesta Kaladze (Bonera) Janku (Maldini)
Pirlo
Ambrosini (or Gattuso) Seedorf
Kaka
Inzaghi (or Gilardino) Pato (Ronaldo theoretically)

This will be the formation in Serie A, with 4-3-2-1 occasionally in Champion League. If Pato is as good as it is rumored, then I don't see how Milan won't be able to catch up 4th spot (11 pts adrift with 3 games unplayed; that's 2pts adrift if Milan wins 3/3).

Is Pato going to be the star of AC Milan next year? Only time will tell...

It sounds like we're expecting an 18 year old to save our season...

i remember Dunga saying that we'll have the next super star, in 2 years, when he is 20...

we should invest in new defence and midfield...

nesta, oddo, kaladze, janku all 28+
get: Kompany, metesaker, de silvestre, breno(but already sold), ramos

midfield:
gattuso, ambro, brocchi, seedorf all 28+
get: baptista, lulinha, banega, schweinsteiger, ...

other top clubs invest each year in new talents+ very good players
MILAN, IMHO a top club(every1 will agree, the most succesfull club in history)
won't buy a thing, only old players, who don't give that extra thing, a surplus to the squad...

which are good:
pirlo, kaka, gilardinho, pato,bonera ON these 5 players we should build our squad


I truely hope silvio and galliani gets the message and should really consider a new trainer or new management to invest in MILAN... we are dieing. our football isn't that good anymore and you cannot stare blindly that we have the best player in the world... he can't do it all by himself(like last year)

if u see real, barca, inter, man U,... they have 1 star (C ronaldo, IBRA, snijder, messi) but the rest of the squad also give that extra special (rooney, cambiasso, ronaldinio, deco, robinhio, baptista, ...)
so you can't rely on 1 person, we should have a team that works hard, but can decide a match... not only on the attacking aspect but also on the defence
