See guys... you all happy with this scandal? Not only did we get screwed in the A$$, Inter and not us may get the scudetti. HAPPY FOLKS? I said this from day friggin one! But nooooooo! Everyone was so fixated on JUVE we forgot to double check the other possibilities. AGAIN HAPPY you folks are? Honestly what all us Milanisti are feeling right now is besides the point. We have to accept this mess so we have no choice happy or not. Come on buttwipes! Give me a f-ing conspiracy theory now! So to rub salt in the wounds... Congrats INTER! You get this scudetti because us Milanisti lacked the word and principle called humility. You didnt deserve the title but gee... neither did Milan. Hopefully if the title goes to you Interisti, it'll endow us Milanisti a well taught lesson. That is... wish no ill will to our opponents, lest we be willing to fall on the very sword we wield to cut other teams down, especially you Nerrazzuri. Well done! As for my fellow Milanisti. Be happy! We were for a couple of months back. You all asked for it. We all asked for it! So be happy! ![]()

If Inter gets the scudetto in 2004/05 and Juve gets -75 points needed to be relegated, in that case the team that was placed on 18th position will say : Why did we get relegated ? team on 5th position will say : Why didn't we play CL ? ....and so on, and so on.... Interesting thing is that everything investigators had was for season 2004/05. They found absolutely nothing on 2005/06 season, but because of past sins, some teams will pay for it in the next season. Kui, i'm sorry for goinf off-topic , concidering your post, because you had different point than what i'm saying here ! Good news for Milan is that they will try ( they allready are..the lawyers i mean) to put the whole guilt on Meani. And if it is proven that Meani did everything on his own hand, then Milan may get out of this 100%clean, without consequences ( to remind you : Juve was in same, even worse position than Milan during the doping trial, and Juve got out clean, with Dr. Agricola beeing the only one punished) Latest info i got is what Juve lawyer Mr. Cesare commented, and he said that juve has no direct involvment in the scandal as moggi should take the hole blame. So, both teams will play on the same card. Milan will blame Meani for everything, while Juve will play on the card: Moggi doing this to obtain more power. Both teams will depend on what Meani and Moggi will say. If they say they did it on their own, then our clubs may get without (Milan) or with small punishments (Juve, because Moggi was a GD). But if they suddenly decide to involve other people into this....then it will be a huge problem ![]()

And of course, now we have Moratti saying this :
“If the sides who finished ahead didn’t comport themselves in the right manner then it is only right that the first ‘clean’ club should be considered as coming first. I wouldn’t miss the presence of Milan and Juventus.” Heh, i don't blame him for saying this, and neather should you. Berlu said practically the same thing when Milan wasn't involved in the scandal !

What I do know (as of now at least) is that Milan are facing a points deduction. And with the evidence on board...they do not risk much more. The Gazzetta said as much and it is one of the most reputable papers in Italy. Even if Meani decides to go against the club, it's his word against theirs. The proof in front of the magistrates is the only thing that is relevant. To be honest, I would take the points penalty...but Cantamessa will try to argue with what is presented to the magistrates. And even by the evidence there our position is the strongest (not the cleanest). Juve, I think, have a very little chance of avoiding relegation, which is a big blow to Italian football...Fiorentina, Lazio (though less certain) and Milan will stay in Serie A, according to the latest speculation by reputable sources in Italy. From soccernet:
Juventus and AC Milan reacted on Friday after prominent current and former members of the clubs were charged in the match-fixing scandal which has rocked Italian football. On Thursday, Juve, Fiorentina, Lazio and Milan and 26 individuals were told they would answer charges in a sporting court over allegations of match-fixing. The individuals have not been officially named due to privacy laws in the country. However, AC Milan vice president Adriano Galliani revealed he is among the 26 individuals who will stand trial in Rome next week. Milan are being investigated for a suspected violation of Article One of the Sports Justice Code - which insists upon 'fairness, correctness and honesty'. The maximum penalty is for points to be deducted going into the subsequent season. Galliani has stepped down from his position as Lega Calcio president but insisted he is innocent of any wrong-doing. 'After I saw my name on the list of the accused, I resigned straight away as president of the Italian football league. Now I will live better, even if the accusation has been referred only on the basis of Article One,' said Galliani. 'I have decided to resign from my position as president of the Italian football league, but I wish to make it clear that this can not in any way be interpreted as an admission of responsibility. 'The charges against me are an injustice and I reiterate that I am a total stranger to this affair.' Italian champions Juventus have confirmed former club directors Luciano Moggi and Antonio Giraudo will stand trial, also. Along with Fiorentina and Lazio, Juventus are being investigated for suspected violations of both Article One and Article Six. Article Six covers actions 'aimed at altering the course of result of a match, or at ensuring an advantage to anybody in the league table'. The minimum punishment is demotion to an inferior level. Moggi's bugged phone calls discussing refereeing appointments triggered the current crisis when they were published. He quit in May as Juve's general director. Giraudo also stepped aside at the end of the season as the Juve board resigned en masse. Juventus detailed in a lengthy press release the number of charges made against 'directors and the Company', including some against Moggi and Giraudo. Juve said the pair will have to answer to the charge of 'behaviour contrary to the principles of loyalty, honesty and fairness and, at the same time, aimed at procuring an advantage in the championship in favour (of) the company Juventus...' The club statement concluded by saying: 'The company reserves the right to verify if the statements made in the charge sheet are backed up by real elements of evidence, and reserves the right to undertake any activity that it holds appropriate for its defence in subsequent hearings.' AC Milan president Silvio Berlusconi is convinced his team will be cleared in the investigation. His club are indirectly involved, and Berlusconi believes they have no case to answer. In fact, he expects Milan to be awarded two Scudettos, claiming Juventus did not win them fairly. He said: 'Milan have only been defrauded and I maintain my position: we expect as a minimum two titles. 'I have no fears about any eventual penalties. 'There is no possibility that Milan can come out of this situation with any responsibility that we don't have. 'Milan has absolutely nothing to do with this scandal, from either a penal or moral standpoint,' Berlusconi added. Fiorentina also released a brief statement following the announcement that they were under investigation. It read: 'Fiorentina announce that they have been notified of the charges by the Federal Appeal Commission and they have passed the information to their lawyers.' The trial will commence at Stadio Olimpico in Rome next Wednesday. Another one from soccernet: Champions Juventus almost certainly face relegation as a result of Italy's match-fixing scandal while AC Milan may receive lighter punishment, media said on Friday. The Football Federation's (FIGC) prosecutor charged Juventus, AC Milan, Fiorentina and Lazio, as well as 26 individuals, on Thursday. They will appear before a sports tribunal in a trial starting on June 29. The FIGC issued its ruling after Italy secured a place in the second round of the World Cup by beating the Czech Republic 2-0. The combination, as one television commentator put it, was 'heaven in Germany and hell in Rome'. Former Juventus general manager Luciano Moggi, former Juventus CEO Antonio Giraudo and Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani were among those ordered to appear before the tribunal, their clubs said. La Gazzetta dello Sport newspaper said the charge that Moggi sought to influence refereeing appointments to benefit Juventus left the Turin giants in an extremely perilous position. 'It is a terrible accusation, something that could send the club down to Serie C,' the paper said. Juventus, 29 times champion of Italy, said late on Thursday it would study the charges and reserved the right to defend itself. But unlike AC Milan, it did not reject the accusations. The two main charges - sporting fraud and violating fairness and probity - can be punished by fines, bans and relegations. The hearing will take place at Rome's Olympic Stadium. The federation has said the verdicts will be delivered between July 7 and 9 - the latter being the day of the World Cup final. Juventus shares, which have lost about half their value since the scandal broke in early May, initially bounced higher on short-covering on the Milan bourse. But by 1014 GMT they were down 0.75 percent at 1.32 euros. According to media which obtained the prosecutor's charge sheet, all four clubs were accused of 'sporting fraud'. Moggi and Giraudo face charges of sporting fraud and also of violating rules governing fairness and probity in the sport, Juventus said. Galliani - who quit as president of the Italian Football League shortly after the charges were announced but said he did nothing wrong - faces a single charge of violating fairness and probity, AC Milan said. Media said that put him in a slightly better position. The sporting fraud charge against Milan, European champions six times, was based on a single Serie A match against Chievo in April 2005, Milan said. Juventus have been at the heart of the scandal since it began early last month with the publication of intercepted telephone conversations between Moggi and senior FIGC officials discussing refereeing appointments for matches during the 2004-05 season. 'Today, Serie B becomes an almost certain destination for Juventus,' La Gazzetta said. 'Milan, however, comes out of the day minus an Italian Football League president, but with hopes, if not certainties, that it will remain in Serie A and maybe even save its place in the Champions League.' The future of Fiorentina and Lazio , the paper said, were less certain. Officials from both clubs have been charged with sporting fraud. Another sports daily, Corriere dello Sport, said Juventus faced the bleakest future although it said all four teams risked relegation to a lower division. La Repubblica daily said Juve could start next season's Serie B campaign with points deducted and the loss of their last two Serie A titles. The FIGC's emergency administrator, Guido Rossi, has said he wants the tribunal and any appeals wrapped up by July 20 to allow time for the FIGC to submit to UEFA its lists of teams for next season's Champions League and UEFA Cup competitions. Thirteen of Italy's 23-man squad at the World Cup play for the four clubs facing charges. |

Hasan ,thanx for this articles !
This is more or less known, and it's the same we talked about these days. The only thing about this, is that these articles come from Gazzetta, which is certanly not the most reliable paper on this matter, becuase it is Berlusconi influenced one. But since similar things were said in many other papers, Italian and foreign, i'd accept it as a great possibility ! What we forgot, while we discussed this matter, was that this are only the charges, and media is speculating only. We could never know what will be Judge's decission, and how good defense our clubs have. At this moment, i wouldn't be suprised if Juve is sent down to Serie C2 or stops existing, just as i won't be suprised if i see Juve in CL next year. And also, money talks in this world. We've seen many times how rich people get away with their crimes much easier than the others ! Juve will fall in serie B, mostly because of italian public pressure, not because of justice, because if there was justice, Juve should have fallen much earlier, and Berlu should have been in jail allready . But all the other things about Serie C, or C2,or Milan in serie B, are nothing else but media speculations.

2. If Juve's titles are taken away, I don't care who gets them. I don't want them. They will always be titles won only on paper and not on the pitch anyway. If Inter wants them and can enjoy them, that's fine with me. I just want to put this scandal behind us. And while, of course, I do want to see justice served, I hope for the lightest possible punishments for Milan and all the other clubs involved.

I was overjoyed when Gallian resigned because it was at least a small step towards moral probity. I cannot see Juve going to Serie C. As for the gazzetta...it is is a Milanese paper, yes, but it is considered the best paper in Italy and sells the most...that is a fact. I put the foreign sources there because when they print something they normally avoid the tabloids and try to get a summary close to the truth. So I thought that would help in this discussion. I want Italian football to start fresh...with Juve in the mix... |

I do believe that Milan are not involved in match fixing, and if I am right I want also the Title. And I will be happy with it. But if we are involved I want Milan to take the punishment which deserves. (Anyway I already expierienced serie B twice ) And also Inter to be crowned. (Although it hurts!!)I am afraid that if Milan and Juventus are both relegated to serie B without a heavy points deduction, another injustice is occured with the other teams that invested heavily to get the promonion for serie A, as it quite clear that no one can compete with these economic giants. |

FROM DAY ONE of this scandal it wasnt about the pursuit of JUSTICE by these casted lot I've mentioned. It was taken with elation and joy and the attitude went to the lengths of "we deserve what was supposedly stolen from us". Rossoneri took this as the answer to the very BIG question to why we are short 12 scudetti vs Juve. It was the revelation to these fools. Yes I say it again... FOOLS. So look it has never been about justice to many Rossoneri fans. Go and read EARLY in this thread for I had forwarned my fellow rossoneri about what they may be in for when they professed "I want JUSTICE". What they really meant was I want them scudetti. You want the archive of what I said. Well here it is.... http://www.milanmania.com/forums/sho...0&postcount=74 Kindly then take a look at the dismissive attitude of Milanisti. Now we want people to give us the benefit of innocence that we did not afford to Juve especially now that there is evidence against us. Tell me why I shouldnt be pissed off and ashamed of my club and my fellow fans?

Kui, I almost read everything you write and I did this because I like your way of thinking and the way you express yourself. On this issue the Moggiopoli how it is called there are few things which I don't agree how you are tackle them. Most probably this is because you are not considering the Italian culture. When the Media came out with the scandal, my first reaction was wow.. I have plenty of tools to use when I am teasing my Juventini friends. I can see nothing wrong in such reactions and I'll believe that you agree with me on this. But when Rossi was appointed instead of Carraro, and then Borelli as the chief prosecutor I was afraid, and I agreed with you when you was warning people to be causious because it could also touch Milan. I was afraid not because I had suspects again Milan, but because of the appointment of Rossi and Borelli. You have to consider that Borelli is one of the front enemies of Berlusconi. He spent a lot of time trying to incriminate him without success during the "Tangentopoli". My advice is don't try to judge who was right or wrong between them as if you ask 50% of the Italians they will tell you that Berlusconi is a corrupt person and if you ask the other half they will tell you that this is a political issue as everytime there is an election coming, a new investigation will occurs. The same thing with Rossi, he is coming from the left coalision. That's why I was, afraid because if they found something they will try to magnify it for political reasons. And I was more afraid that they will find something wrong with the Finance and bookkeeping affairs regarding the transfers of players and Tax paid, then the match fixing. Back to the Moggiopoli, I am so positive that Milan are not involved in this thing because of these reasons: 1. The acusation itself. Although I believe the prosecution tried everything possible to sacrifice Berlusconi for political reasons, they came out with mild charges. Match Fixing is something which you can prove that you are innocent by looking again to the match and see if there were refereeing controversaries or not. And if there were, in favour of whom? It could be easily done as only one match is quesioned, the one against Chievo. So if I remember well, the hot referee's decisions were against Milan in that day. Now we have Meani telephone calls which can be interpretated in various ways vs the match evidence. Also keep in mind that it is not the accused that should prove himself innocent but the prosecution has to prove that the accused is guilty. I said before that I want justice, and I really mean it, but I don't want that a club be punished if there is a doubt in his guilt. I prefer a guilty club not punished than an innocent club punished. And for these reasons I strongly believe that Milan are not responsable for Match fixing. As regards Juventus when the accusations are analised with the Moviola (slow motion) of the games, in my opinion it will strengthen the prosecution hands. Oh my God.....its time to be cont..... |

good post charlie.
it is true there are many influential people who want to crucify silivo and will try to do it through milan. And as charlie points out the big decisions went against milan in the so called fixed chievo game.

).But, if you don't remember suspicious calls on Milan matches, i surely do I would only ask some members to be fair, and to tell me if they remember this accidents i will talk about : 1. Reggina leading 1:0, and Inzaghi scoring the equaliser after clear handball. On RAI (neutral as i heared) this was shown and debated for 1 minute, but some small faul Thuram made was debated for 10 minutes. 2. Milan leading 3:1 on the same match and Serginho kicks the ball with his hand in his box, in front of refs eyes ...no penalty , of course. 3. On the same match : The wind kicks Inzaghi, he falls, and penalty for Milan. 4. Milan-Sampdoria 1:1 ... inzaghi vs wind again. Penalty for Milan. 5. Milan is the club with most penalties given this season ! 6. Milan is the club with less penalties given against them 7. Penalty on Gilardino in the last match of the season against Roma, after 5 minutes ( now, be honest as you were in the topic for this match : was this a penalty ?) 8. Clear penalty for Roma in the same match after few minutes, but not given ( check this match's topic. Milan fans also addmitted this) . Now, this is a normal thing, and refs help big clubs. But saying that no calls in Milan's favour...come ooooon. And now Juve. You were all jumping on the ref for giving 5 minutes extra time in Cagliari-Juve match, and for allowing Camoranesi to score the goal in 97 minute of the match. But you "forgot" that he scored it in 94:52 minute, and that Cagliari players were "injured" during the whole second half, and that it should have been at least 10 minutes extra time. You were jumping on the ref on this same match for giving penalty for Juve ( and it was clear penalty), but you forgot that he invented a penalty for Cagliari on Langella, after Zambrotta kicked the ball, and not Langella's leg, which could have been easily seen. Juve-Lazio 1:1 The ref helped Juve again is what you say. Lazio scored a goal for 0:2 and the goal was dissallowed for offside. If you saw better, you would have seen that one Lazio player , who was offside but didn't touch the ball, was standing right infront of Abbiatti, marking him. According to UEFA rules, this kind of goals are dissallowed . It happened on Milan-Juve CL final after Shevchenko scored a goal, and it happened last week on USA-Italy, after same kind of goal was dissallowed for the Americans. And you also complain how one Lazio player even got a red card after the goal was dissallowed. But of course, you didn't hear Lazio's coach who addmitted that the player deserved the red card for what he said to the ref. But it's not your fault... Italian media was very quite about this..just as they were about this : 1. Udinese-Juventus 0:1 Obodo plays a butcher and gets a red card. This time the media is not making a show from this because they were aware he deserved it. Then 2 unexisting offsides are called for Juve, after 1 on 1 situations. Nothing about this also. But of course, the world remembers how Iaquinta didn't play on this match, and it was Moggi who made that happen. Hmmm, if Moggi was so influental in Udinese, couldn't he just arange Juve to win this even with Iaquinta on the field ???? 2.Juve-Inter 2:0 I don't want to think again about what Materazzi did to Zlatan, and how he didn't get even a yellow card ! 3.Juve-Sampdoria 2:0 ....clear goal dissallowed after Trezeguet's header, but nothing in media. 4. Fiorentina-Juve 2:2 (Coppa Italia)... Pazzini scores with his hand and the goal stands. Well, at least this time it was shown in Italian media. 5. Chievo-Juve 1:1 This time the media was also susprisingly fair, and everything was shown and debated. Lanna made a clear penalty on Zlatan, but ....nope, no penalty. Sammarco play with his hand and stops Zlatan to go 1/1 with the keeper. The ref is giving faul for Juve, but isn't giving even a yellow card to Sammarco ( he had 1 allready) And not to mention all the times some opponents players were making clear fauls on Vieira , Emerson and Nedved that weren't given. But you and Italian media don't remember this. You only remember how Vieira and Camoranesi were making fauls and not getting a yellow card ! There is much more on previous years.....with the desert being Collina and his call to allow the decissive match for the Scudetto (Juve-Perugga)to be played on waterlogged pitch ! Juve lost the tittle in single match here falks. Why noone remembers this ? I know that big clubs are protected. And maybe Juve was even more protected than anybody else. But please , try to remember how Inzaghi scored a goal after the clearest handball of all times, not only how Del Piero scored after clear offside !
