He can play as a target man (though at this point I don't think he has the physical presence of Toni and Amauri), but he can also play deeper (and even on the wings). I do believe he said that he prefers playing up front though.

I think it was Houllier who played him all over the place and Benzema reacted angrily to that, inisisting that his best position was as a striker not a winger. So it wouldn't be such a good move to mess about with where he plays.

If u have Gila as your target man, u don't need any one else. U just need some one like Benjani or David Villa to play along side him & trophies would come automatically

Italian Press reports suggest that Milan view Argentine defender Jonathan Maidana as a possible recruit for the post-Paolo Maldini era.

The Rossoneri are preparing to lose one of their greatest servants this summer when the 39-year-old Maldini hangs up his boots.

A number of names are in the frame to reinforce the world champions’ defence when Maldini bids farewell and Maidana is the latest to be proposed.

The Corriere dello Sport states that the Diavolo are tracking the 22-year-old defender who is making a name for himself at Boca Juniors.

Maidana has represented Argentina at Under-20 level and has made 31 appearances for Boca since arriving from minnows Atletico Los Andes in 2005.

There have previously been rumours that Juventus are watching Maidana, but they are likely to be distracted by other priorities.
