But the truth is that I never liked the guy since the first day he got here. I was alarmed to see that Sheva AND Kaka hesitating to pass to him Today things have still remained the same ....You can actually see Kaka looking for other options before passing to Gila. In sheva's time everyone passed to him without hesitation as long as he made the run he got the ball. Now Gila groupies praise him for the "good movements" he makes but wonder why no one feeds him. Actually the only one in our squad that I have seen not do this is Ronaldo....and if he gets to play with him long enough (or just gets to play ) I'm sure he might hesitate as well. That said the Gila Ronaldo partnership looks to have some sort of potential

I say we move quickly for a hungry determined striker like Benzema.....and having the Duck say that he wants to score two goals in one game is far more comforting than Gila's promise of 35 goals in his next hundred games

We need Benzema....he threatened Fred and Co at Lyon to displace them and at the grand old age of 20 he has done just that
So Kaka and Sheva don't/didn't pass to Gilardino and he is the one at fault? They both have their fair share of games when they're just way too selfish. It's more alarming to see that our strikers hardly ever get shots on goal(that's everybody else as well..not just Gilardino). Even RvN and Trezeguet would have trouble scoring in this team, because we just don't give our strikers many chances on goal.

Also I'm 99% sure that if Gilardino promised two goals in a match, you'd call it arrogance instead being comforting.

Thank you, Tony. You are still the best at 'thisÄ skill in this forum.
What shocked me is how you compared the whole Milan's midfielders with only one Lazio's player! lol

Yeah, you're right but I won't blame anyone.

This kind of choiche must be already considered by Ancelotti and he probably thought that it's the best type of play that Milan could/can do in last/this season.

I hope two of Milan's youngsters (Pato and Gourcuff) can play well in this 5 months so Milan won't need to change so many players in June.

Great stats Tony.

It is however a little self explanatory why these stats are the way they are. For example, I am not surprized at all that our forwards don't have any shots on goal. Gilardino and Inzaghi never turn and shoot the ball. As a matter of fact, It's yet to be proven if they can reach the goal with a shot from outside of the box. I really can't remember the last time one of them collected the ball 18-20 meters from goal, turned and took a shot. The moment we get a forward that will do that, then we will be more dangerous and will get a lot more shots on target. We will be more dangerous because we will have a shooter 20 meter from goal and not 35 where our midfielders are who seem to be the only ones that try to shoot in our team.

Yup, so true
Milan really need that second striker that is able to take the ball at his feet and pass it, make a cross and most important - to take shots from everywhere.

I mean, Kaka alone has 18 shots on target, that's exactly as much as all your strikers have (in previous post i wrote they have 17 shots, but i calculated it wrong)

Inter's attacker's are a very good example. They have two "fox in the box" strikers, Cruz and Crespo and two other guys who are a real pain in the a$$ for the defenders and take a lot of shots after they create the space alone, without depending on the midfielders or the fullbacks to make a good cross.
Ibrahimovic has 26 shots on target
Cruz 14
Suazo 11
Crespo 6

That's 57 shots on target but only 20 come from the target men, Cruz and Crespo. If Milan have guys like Ibra and Suazo everything will be different for sure.
Hopefully for you, Pato will be such a player.

That last statement sums up our season, doesn't it, Tony?

BTW do you keep track of all those stats yourself?

with where he plays.
Agree, Ronaldo's always a doubt and with Pippo's recent problems, I think
another forward is needed.

about Benzema, I only meant to point out his versatility. In our side
right now I'd think he'd be a second forward, a role I can't see him not
wanting.

-Gilardino:this guy was scoring 23 goals and finishing as the second-best
scorer in Serie A season 2004-05 when he was playing for Parma.and we
bought him for £18m transfer.but his performances showing decrease path in
Milan.must admit that he doesn't looks very attractive as he was in
Parma.but his lame performances happened since Sheva left Milan.he was
good when Sheva was around, but now he has to create chances for himself
and it isn't happening.that time he scored 17 goals in Serie A (2005-
06).it's good even he was going goalless in UCL (but hey.. he just moved
from Parma ).since Ronaldo still couldn't find his best performance
again.. lets we put the hope on Pato.together with Gila i hope Pato could
replace the missing spot left by Sheva.even i know that if Gila was good
enough... he would have done the job anyway but anything to make this
guy scores

-Ronaldo: lolz.. dunno what happened with this former Ballon d'Or
winner.he is CLASS but lost motivation perhaps?or his injuries ?

-Pippo: he saved Milan in many crucial moments.but to be honest he is
among the worse in regards to technical abilities. even though i admire
him

-Pato: man has to show what he has 1st but he was Jedi when
playing for Internacional.

and nowadays we also called Kaka as a forward: what can i say our life and
death mostly down on his knee

that's why Berbatov and Benzema looks very tempting.for God sake we "only"
have Kaka to score from forward brigatte uhmmm.. also depends
on Pirlo's fantastic freekicks.and well.. yeah sometimes Pippo scores

so... also for me, the former striker of Leverkusen define AWESOME !!

BERBATOV will be PERFECT.

ps. i forgot to put Willy Aubameyang and Alberto Paloschi.the last name is
caught my eye.. but still young and needs lot of experience.we need
someone who ready to play in the 1st squad!
Gila's problems at Milan are things that can be explained imo. As you point out at Parma he was brilliant and with Sheva he did well. Clearly he's a player that is a leading front man, but needs a foil to play off of him. Sheva did this at Milan and at Parma this was Morfeo's role. Ronaldo also did this but the impact was less noticeable as Gila wasn't playing as consistently after Ronaldo joined last season. Kaka has also done the role at times, and you'll find that when Gila's playing well, there is a lot of link up play between him and Kaka. However, all too often Gila (and Pippo) is isolated up front. Other factors that contribute to Gila's problems include confidence (or lack of it) and the fact that unlike when he was at Parma, in Milan he's not the star man.

Ronaldo's problems started way back when he was at Inter and got a bad injury that required years of work to get him back on the pitch. He's also one that will train, but doesn't always keep disciplined and work as hard as he can. At Real, after finally recovering from injury he completely lost his discipline and started gaining weight. For a player that in his career always used his explosive acceleration to his strength, this was massively detrimental to his game.

No disagreements with Pippo

There's quite a lot of responsibility on Pato, but at this point if Ronaldo can start playing regularly (like last season), then Pato's burden is lessened a great deal.

Kaka is a strange case too, as he's not a natural fantatista (playmaker), but also isn't really a forward either, he's like a mixture of the qualities required in the two roles.

Berbatov would probably fit well into the side, and he can score fairly regularly, but more importantly he'll offer a foil that Gila needs.

Willy Aubameyang seems a good player (he did excellent at youth level), but I don't see him ever being a long term prospect at Milan. Paloschi on the other hand has a bright future ahead of him it seems. However, he's still extremely young and so it's too early to really talk about him in the first team.

I like Benzema, but i think Amauri should be the first choice striker transfer. On terms of experience, how fast he would settle in Milan, i still prefer him over Drogba. We could sign both, but Amauri would at least give us some Seria A goals.

I will say also that Benzema who is a great talent is only 20 and we don't know in what level he will reach. We know how is Drogba and Amauri but not Benzema.
Because he is very young and he has showed us great things i would choose him over Drogba and Amauri.
If i had to shoose 2 of them i will choose Benzema and Drobga who is a world class striker and is playing great at the most difficult league of the world. And who can sign for 0€!

source: www.voetbalprimeur.nl

in english:
ACM is willing to make a bid on a defender from boca juniors: Jonatan Maidana , he had made a good impression on WC for clubs.
but la juve and inter also have interest in him

at the end they say lazio roma want Matias Silvestre of Boca Juniors

i only know the matias guy, he his a great talent although nothing proven. the guy milan is interested in, ive nothing heard about his talent

That we used just oneforward ni pretty much all games is the thing though. Kaka even play or less as a forward. He shouldn't really be counted as midfielder here.
