dude, the kaka story is over from the moment when don silvio said: kaka rimane al milan.. THE END, all these stories at the present about how did what happen, and about kaka's wish to be in madrid are NOT TRUE, and there is one good proof for that. Milan's official website said that emerson never talked about kaka's going to madrid... so.... AS and goal.com or i dont know who, are not reliable sources...

Apparently, according to reports on various news sites (I think Gazzetta initially reported it), Man City officials in 6hrs never once made an offer to Milan for Kaka, instead talking about sponsorship deals. They also kept going to side rooms to discuss the matter amongst themselves.
Quite honestly, if this is true then they're more than just a joke. By flaunting money they've made it nigh on impossible to get any player at a price in line with the current market (they bought Nigel De Jong for £17m now??). On top of that, they're supposedly negotiating about other matters for Kaka before the original sale has actually been agreed and finally they're running around two rooms to discuss the deal? they acted like schoolkids. |

...and here is more from Sky, from the last two days:
Barry Silkman (agent): "It was never going to happen. I did an interview on BBC radio on Saturday and there were six panelists, five were all talking about how the deal was going to make Manchester City bigger than they already were and how it's going to change English football, and when they got to me, and said to me "how do you think it will change English football?", I just said that the deal won't happen. I've said from day one that the deal wasn't going to happen. (a bloke on the news ) "based on what?" "based on the player not wanting to go to MC. There was also a situation of certain people being involved in the deal that neither Kaka nor his father would ever want to have been involved in but that's something I wouldn't go down the line with. I know the people very, very well, who are involved with Kaka. I know the lawyer extremely well, he's actually one of my partners in Brazil. And right from the beginning there was no possible chance of the deal happening. Also I think the main situation here was if Kaka wanted to go, if he goes, he'd only go to a club that are in top three in their own country, he wants CL football. And it never ever got round to speaking about the finance of how much he'd earn. Because it doesn't make any difference when you are a multi multi multi millionaire, another 50, 60, 70K a week , if you're already earning 200K a week, it doesn't make any difference. " Another bloke on the news (an angry City fan): "..so this deal is dead for the moment..could it happen in the summer?" Gabriele Marcotti (Corriere Dello Sport): "....you either believe Kaka or you don't. You either buy into the fact that..you know, he's a Christian and this is what he loves and it's not about money and the greater values in the world than money...or you don't. If you've given even the slightest benefit of the doubt..I don't see how..how this deal to MC could ever come to fruition, at this point after what happened. If you don't buy into that..if you believe in the slightly cynical world..then I suppose it could happen not just next summer, it could happen next week." |

..also from Sky.
Paul McCarthy (editor, news of the world): (referring to the behaviour of Cook) ..it's almost like back in the playground when you've been dumped by the girl you really fancied and say I didn't like her anyway. It's that kind of attitude. And it's this one comment..you know..'We engaged a lot of professional people to take care of this deal and it was too sophisticated for Milan'. Now I don't know if Gary knows anything about the history of Milan, but they are one of the world's greatest clubs. Suddenly, they(City)'re seen as..some kind of naive, some kind of unsophisticated bumpkins in this whole transfer deal. It doesn't bode very well for the image of Manchester City. It's almost as if they're now saying we're now the experts on this.. And they were talking about setting up humanitarian funds..and Kaka foundation..and exploiting image rights..things like that. Well it could just be..Gary, that Kaka didn't want to play for MC and you might just have to suck that up. Because, if Kaka wasn't gonna go there what chance of MC attracting too many more ..sort of international stars?" Mick Denis (Daily Express): "Manchester City are complaining..having..falling through the Kaka deal..they are complaining that they've been priced out of the market. Independent and others quote Cook as saying they have been asked for ridiculous money. Well they would be, wouldn't they? Because as the Sun pointed out they've paid rather a lot of money for Nigel De Jung..£19m(Sun's banner says £19m laughing stock) laughing stock..because he would've cost him just £2.3 m at the end of this season. So this is the sort of spending spree at City which is completely out of kilter. I have to say it focuses attention on Gary Cook who was..I watched your (Sky's) coverage where Paul McCarthy was sitting in this chair and talked about Gary Cook complaining AC Milan had been naive, and pointed out that AC Milan have done a few football deals over the years and Gary hasn't. Gary Cook who effectively runs City was appointed by the previous regime, by the Shinawatra regime..and was a Nike executive. And he's upsetting quite a few people in football. And you have to say..and I am picking words quite carefully here, but if the Arab owners want transfers to go through, and want to dine at the football's top table, you might think that the example Chelsea took which was to appoint a chief executive to win the game..to poach Peter Kenyon from United might be more productive..than using someone from completely different spheres from Nike..picking my words carefully there.. Sms di Galliani alla Casa Blanca
Il numero due di Via Turati chiude le porte all'avanzata del Real Madrid per Kaką ver fotos(1) Kaką, adesso l'insidia č merengues... Kaką, adesso l'insidia č merengues... HANNOVER (Germania) - La telenovela Kaką continua a tenere banco in casa Milan. ----- Galliani spoke yesterday after the Hannover match. He said (roughly), "it is enough to say that sooner or later Kaka' will leave Milan. For now Kaka' remains. I believe this whole affair's concusion is a great motivation for the squad..." calciomercato.it What do you guys make of this? Do you think Kaka' will leave this summer? What if Real offer 90 million euros; do you think Silvio will turn it down? Last edited by Hasan Rossonero; 22-01-2009 at 15:26. |

First off, Galli said those words in order to make Berlu the biggest person here.
Bascially, Galli said those words b/c he wants to take the blame for allowing Man City to process and Berlu is the MAN to stop it. As for Kaka going to Real, thats not going to happen b/c Berlu will stop it, that is unless Milan is not in CL next season again. |

Milan's Galliani rejects talk of Kaka exit
January 23, 2009 * Comment AC Milan vice-president Adriano Galliani has rubbished reports Kaka could be on his way to Real Madrid or any other club at the end of the season. Kaka turned down a world transfer record switch to Manchester City this week and reports in Spain have linked him with a summer move to Madrid. Galliani, though, insists the Brazilian is no longer for sale. ''Kaka forever,'' said Galliani to the Italian press. ''He will not move, he will remain here for the next four and a half years or for longer.'' Primera Liga giants Madrid have long been linked with a move for Kaka but their hopes of signing the 26-year-old have always been dashed by Milan's unwillingness to sell. But rumours that former Real Madrid president Florentino Perez could return to the club as a replacement to Ramon Calderon have fuelled speculation of a renewed bid for the forward. Calderon resigned this week as Madrid president. ''If (Florentino) Perez was to ask me about Kaka I would say no to him as well,'' said Galliani, who admitted his club just wanted to put the Kaka saga behind them. ''I don't want to talk anymore about Kaka's situation. All's well that ends well. After this situation, I reiterate that Kaka will not move.'' Kaka is under contract with the Rossoneri until June 2013. ----- soccernet |
