yes ideally, i want milan squad consist of majority of italians. probably 70% italians and 30% the others. even though dinho is cheap, he is not the right player for milan. yes bring on more italians!!!! there are plenty of talented italians unlike the english.

sepp blater plans to implement maximum 5 foreign players and minimum 6 local players policy, which is very good. i hope this rule will be approved.

I sincerely doubt Berlu and Galliani would let Ronaldinho go to Inter. Not after three years of hype. Although they have probably realized that he would not necessarily fit into our system, they will not allow a repeat of the Ibra & Suazo scenarios. After all, it is very much like them to deny, deny, deny, and then pop up with a surprise signing. I think the best possible option would be for Ronnie to rediscover his form and stay at Barca. That way, we could focus on more immediate concerns (man, do we need fullbacks). That being said, I would not complain if we actually manage to land him - and I don't think our team would either. It is Ronaldinho we're talking about here.

What has that to do with anything? Though if we follow your logic there are plenty of talented English unlike the Aussies!

Also i don't seem to remember any Aussies or Italians featuring in Gazzetta Dello Sport's Giovani stelle: the next generation list that they compiled a little while back. However there were 4 English players out of the 26 on there and while i appreciate such lists are subjective and common place, i'd like to think GDS know what they're on about. Sorry if that's too much of a shock for your narrow minded brain to handle!

L’OFFERTA ROSSONERA - Non a caso, dunque, i rossoneri hanno accelerato i tempi negli ultimi giorni su questo fronte. Ormai da mesi Adriano Galliani ha lasciato ad Ernesto Bronzetti, consulente per la Spagna, la consegna di vigilare sulle mosse di Roberto Assis, il fratello-agente di Ronaldinho. Proprio nei giorni scorsi è stato segnalato in Inghilterra, ma i suoi amici sostengono che era lì solo per seguire le vicende di Wagner Love. Nessun contatto con il Chelsea. Del resto era dicembre quando fu proprio Roberto Assis ad escludere impegni con la società inglese. E fu in quell’occasione che, invece, Ronaldinho confermò la volontà di trasferirsi in Italia, destinazione Milan: la casa italiana dei brasiliani. Una linea di credito sinora rimasta in sospeso per non creare incidenti diplomatici con il Barcellona, preoccupato di chiudere ogni discorso su una cessione al mercato di gennaio. Anche per questo motivo il Milan sinora ha provato a tenere coperte le proprie carte, ma è chiaro che ogni giorno che passa induce i dirigenti milanisti ad uscire un po’ di più allo scoperto. E il Milan pensa di avere successo con questa filosofia anche per Ronaldinho.

I CONTATTI DELL’INTER - C’è da mettere in preventivo che l’Inter non abbia difficoltà a garantire al brasiliano condizioni economiche altrettanto vantaggiose. Se non superiori. Ma è chiaro che in questo duello varranno molto altri aspetti. Da quello tecnico agli aspetti ambientali. E l’impressione è che le due società milanesi stiano giocando la loro partita proprio su queste sponde in apparenza collaterali. Perciò nei prossimi giorni attendiamoci nuovi sussulti. In the past few months I've been folowing young italian players in serie a and you can see those boys can play eral football! Do you agree we should sign some of the young italian midfielders like Dessena, Cigarini ( we need a player like Pirlo? here it is! ), Montolivo, Aquilani... I know its hard to sign them, but hey... we are Milan. It used to mean something on the mercato.

Also De Silvestri, Pozzi, Viviano is ok GK... It would be nice to see few italians back to milanello: Zambrotta, Cigarini, Dessena, Pozzi for example!

Many of us think there should be more Italians on the team ....including me (trini) and Warro (Jamaican).....I agree with Berlu's policy of Italians in defence and Brazilians in attack

Anyway, everybody is fighting to get the services of Fred. It think if he gets a French passport we should throw our hats in too. he might not be brilliant but he's great

I don't see how what he mentioned has any connection or relevance to the topic in hand. No one else was talking about English players, so why bring it up?

Back to the topic in hand and Barcelona must be rubbing their hands together to find ourselves & Inter looking set to battle it out for Ronaldinho's signature (should they wish to sell him).

Can some one confirm if Ronaldinho can buy out his contract with 15M this summer please? If it's true, then I don't think there is a bid war, but maybe a contract war (Inter has advantage as Nike is on their side).

I don't think we really need Ronaldinho and I don't really want him in our team, although if we decide to buy him for £15m it won't be a bad deal at all, although I'd prefer to spend the money elsewhere (Italian players )

My options would be Cigarini (we really missed someone like Pirlo against Udi....and any team we play against without Pirlo, and Cigarini seems to be a perfect replacement), Rosina to give us some extra flair, Zambrotta, Montolivo, another fullback and bring back Pozzi, that way we won't have to spend more than £30m (I think...dunno much about values) and we will improve our squad massively

Ronaldinho for 15mil you can dream on that
