i like both inter's full back douglas maicon & maxwell.
Both of them are strong and fast. a bit unlucky for milan coz maxwell prefered joining inter than milan when he was out of contract from ajax.

Now inter have one of the best pairing full back in european football.
i wish one of them (esp. Maicon) could be signed by milan next summer

Not all these Italian players are great or are right for us, in some cases there are other, better players to choose from. Though i do agree that we can find 90% of what we need in Italy rather than abroad.

Im afraid we will have another empty mercato now and then 2 or 3 players in summer. And that is not eought.

These are missees by Galliani: Oddo ( 7.5), Gilardino( 25 ), Oliveira( 17 + vogel ), Vieri, Amoroso ( what the hell?? ), Emerson ( 5 ). That is around 40 mln plus wages fopr players who didnt play as they were expected.

And, these are the players Carlo never managed to play right: Jankulovski ( never played like in udinese, with power and confidence ), Oddo, Gilardino, Gourcuff ( dont forger - HE WAS THE BEST FRENCH MIDFIELDER AND NATIONA U21 CAPTAIN! ) , Bonera ( one of the most promising defenders back in parma days ).

For persons that work football 10 hours a day, its a lot of wastefull money/players. We all know that Leonardo found Kaka' ,and taht was THE TRANSFER of the decade! Finding Pato wasnt hard, he was the best young brazilian, what is there to think about? And we payed him 20 mln, its not a super clever transfer like KAka's. And no, Carlo didnt discover Pirlo, Brescia did.

Its not hard to train Ronaldo, Pippo, Sheva, Rui, Seedorf, Rino, AMbro, Stam, Nesta, Maldini...

I hope Galliani and Carlo get his work together as this is simply wasfefull... I know , and I admit I also exoected Gila and Oddo to play better, maybe even Marek. But the coach is there do do his job by making them better players. Yes, MAKING them better players.

Fingers crossed for Maldini to have big influence on Milans mercato over the summer. as boban said: all the players in Milanello feel like they will stay, they are all relaxed, but if Maldini comes up in managment, things will change.

As Kris said, Real won't sell Ramos, not unless it involved Kaka somehow.

Our best bets for CBs are Zapata and/or Lucio.

For not a huge amount of money we could have Vargas-Zapata-Nesta-Zambrotta as our starting back 4 next season. Which is quite impressive i think.

Throw in Alves & Lucio if you think we'll splash out.

Vargas + Zambro + any fast winger so we can play wider . I think that winger is the key, nowadays we just try to

1. lift the ball up ala english style
2. try a good defense splitting pass

the problem is , opponents CB's get to the ball first almost always if we use 1.st variant.problem with no.2 is that you need both skill + good understanding between midfielder and the forward+ a little bit of luck.

i believe tho solution is to field new and better fullbacks and maybe a winger , they must be fast and relatively young , so that they have advantage vs opponents fullbacks/ defensive players.

if they can cross in the penalty box from good position then we will have another variant in the attack .
Did you noticed how , both favalli and bonera rarely get into good position to cross ? thats because they just cant get in good position to cross , coz they just can't pass their opponent so they must cross from 35-40 m which ends in disaster.

add to that Oddo's bad form and Marek's injury ( even though i think marek is doing decent job in his role ) you end up with a slow attacking, static team, that can score only by a result of individual brilliance.

conclusion = new Fullbacks + maybe a winger
