Giggsy is loyal but i'd say the Neville's, Butt, Scholesy and Keano are all the same too. Those players would only leave if they were forced to. Maldini is a legend though and a player i would have loved to see at Old Trafford.

yeah, he is a legend at Utd and will be remembered for years to come. I don' think Gary Neville is far behind him though. He is already has the appearance record for the champions league and i'd guess he is 500+ games into his Utd career.

Scholes has a lot of games under his belt too and he is certain to be a legend as he is such a key player now. Phil Neville and Nicky Butt havent always been regulars but their loyalty is unquestionable, and Keano may have started with Forest (aftera spell in the Irish league) but he is Man Utd through and through.

I think all of them will be remembered well in the future, just like Law, Best and Charlton are remembered from the Busby squad, or Robson, Hughes, Bruce et al from the Atkinson/ early Ferguson years.

Amarildo is another Brasilian who played for us in the 60s. He replaced an injured Pele at the World Cup in 1962 and together with Garrincha, was insturmental in helping Brasil retaining their World title.

Robson was a mix of Keane and Scholes, a great leader who scored great goals and seemed to be everywhere. He was perhaps Utd's only world class player in the 80's but unfortunately during his peak years English teams were banned from Europe so he never really got to show his class

93 was a good time to start supporting Utd, Im not much older than you but i remember some of the bad old days, it seems unbelievable now but up to 1992 Utd didnt win the League for 26 long years

Im not old enough to remember that, im barely old enough to remember the 80's teams, i remember Atkinson getting sacked in 86 though i was only 4 when that happened

About Munich though i have seen a lot of footage and heard a lot about the great players who died. One in particular i know a lot about is Duncan Edwards. He was the best of all the players and could have been the greatest the world had ever seen. Sir Bobby Charlton (who was on the plane that crashed) said:

"of every player i played with or against the only one who made me feel inferior was Duncan Edwards"

Sir Bobby played against almost all the great players of his era, including Pele, so his opinion is quite highly valued. The church near where i live has a stained glass window with Edwards image in it because he was from just down the road from where i live

Ah, yes, Captain Marvel. Man U did have a lot of legends who could compare to Milan. I remember he came to Singapore once and even at his age and the media said he still oozed class and he even had a chance to score a free kick around the area known as Beckham country. "But let's just say Robson country it was not", I remember them writing. But he's not so good in coaching is he?

yeah, he was a class act. One of the happiest days of my youth was watching him lift the league title as he had spent years trying to take Man U back to the top and he managed it in his last year or so

his list of coaching failures is almost as long as his list of serious injuries was whn he was still a player

with he spent £60m to get Boro relegated, thats quite an achievement

He did just get the Nigeria job though, I doubt he was told you cant buy players at International level so when he names his first sqaud expect Juninho and Ravanelli to get their call ups

yeah, when you hear him interviewed he's obviously smarter than the average footballer, for a start you can actually understand the words
