Fact is that Van Basten is a myth 'thanks' to his injury too. It's like Kurt Cobain or Jim Morrison who died early. They are seen as 'mythes'. MVB had to quit football so he's also seen as a mythe. Although he was an exceptional player, no doubt about that. Van Basten had maybe better technical skills but Sheva scored easier, and is faster then Van Basten. I rate them quiet equally but if i have to vote i say Sheva ...

Don't forget that this poll was made long before Sheva announced he was leaving. You may have still picked MVB, but I don't think you would've use those words.

Hmm... the rethoric will be certainly different, but I really prefer MVB, he's my personal favourite player of all times.

I feel a storm coming my way

About Ibra I don't think he would improve Milan we would at best stay the same witch is good IF we have given up hope of being competitive in Europe.
He would not fit in with Gila as a player because he have what I think is the worst first touch on the ball I ever have seen and Gila would end up offside every time.
As my father says: Zlatan always looking to do it by himself and when he can´t his teammates is offside because he dont let go of the ball.

If he is comming then I would be happy being wrong

Is very difficult to make a comparation between this two big strikers...i love van basten as much as i love sheva...both of them had delighted me with their goals...with their performances..Sheva for me is more special because he represents the recent history

Partially agree, partially disagree. Yes, Van Basten was and is still a myth, but not because he retired early. He's a legend because of what he did on the field. Forget the goals, just look at the way he played football. His touch of the ball, passing, movement, shooting is what defines the word "majestic". He was simply a great football player. Shevchenko, i think, is a different type of player. If you asked me before the events of last week, I would still say that MVB was a better player than Sheva, but I would still afford Sheva the luxury of being named in the same sentence as MVB. But now? Forget it. Sheva doesnt deserve to be even mentioned in the same breath as Van Basten.
