Seedorf, Kaladze, Pirlo and Kaka did not have good matches, I was dissapointed by Kaka, yeah he was covered by Poulsen the entire match, but no matter what the opposite do there's no need to be totally taken out the match like Kaka became, I also didn't like his revenge tackles on Poulsen, I expect more from our players.

Im thinking Maldini should play left back again, he still has alot of offensive qualities that Kaladze really lacks
Well said on all acounts, maldini looked lost in the center like i've argued before, he's a left back plain and simple and Kaladze was crap and when he left his position and Maldini covered things looked good again, and did you all see the skill from the master to set up Sheva oh my god i was bouncing of the walls,
Pirlo was quiet along with Seedorf and often slow on the ball and Kaka was just plain rubbish in every aspect, passing, shooting, dribbling and even his temprement, i don't know how he can be as good as he was against Fenrbache and as bad as he was last night it was unreal.

The 1 thing that did concern me and i don't know if its been mentioned already but it was Shevchenko ignoring Giladino which i think cost us the game in the end, does he have a problem with our new startlet because it didn't look good and over here in England even our anti-Milan commentators noticed it

Right..I guess its normal to get people like Kaka one of the biggest gentleman on the field to hit back and its normal for someone like Ancelotti who has never commented about officiating errors or dirty tricks to come out after so many years as a coach to call someone a 'coward'...
Oh yes and the elbow Rino received in the head was part of the game....

Poulsen was made out to be the victim against Totti in Euro 2004...while we all know Totti has a temper we also know that Poulsen relies less on skill and more on fouls...

Poulsen's job is to provoke and irritate; to commit the tactical fouls. I never said he wasn't a dirty player. What I said was I don't think he was malicious; he wasn't out there trying to injure a player or to end their career as you suggested. And btw, Totti's spitting was disgusting wether he was provoked or not.

Bad performance from Milan, Schalke played better! At that moment Milan don't look good.

I agree yet I'll keep being optimistic about Milan, I have fallen in love once nothing can take this love away from me... I'm still optimistic, though you guys might call me blind, but I think we will have a good season overall this year... PUT A SMILE ON YOUR FACES, MILANISTAS!!!

Quite so Beuller, indeed, we have one of those players on our team, his name is Gattuso, but he doesnt go in for the dirty stuff that Poulsen did/does.

For Maldini to make a comment about him as well, further highlights his caveman approach to the game...and in all honesty, if video replays can be used to issue red cards, then he is most deserving.

What I would love to see is for him to try that with Ambrosini on the pitch. We might go down to 10 men as a result of Ambro giving it back to him, but I wouldnt be sorry at all, Poulsen gives football a bad name.

Even if he wasnt trying to end a players career, (certainly he gave Rino a love tap to the head, not a dangerous elbow...oh no! Never that! No malice there!) he was playing very dirty football, the kind that causes fights on the playground, or worse.

He should be banned for at least 10 games, the stupid moron.

Did you see his elbow into Gatusso's head?? Did you see his slide tackle on Rui Costa on his first touch....there is nothing tactical about that. To provoke and irritate is one thing .... to resort to dangerous tackles not regarding the risks involved (injury, etc) is not football. Bottom line: It is not being blown out of proportion ... Ancelotti never even commented on Materazzi's fouls despite his kicks to the head and groin on Sheva.
Anyone notice that Poulsen was pleading with the referee time and time again....somehow he didn't get thrown out of the match..anyone wonder why?

Consider the officials:

Referee
Claus Bo Larsen (DENMARK)
Assistant referee
Bill René Hansen (DENMARK) Anders Norrestrand (DENMARK)
Fourth official
Emil Laursen (DENMARK)

Poulsen..you guessed, he is a Dane.

Totti's spitting was disgusting ... and I didn't approve of it. However, it is understandable how one with a short fuse (Totti) will resort to that when faced with a Neanderthal like Poulsen...hell even courts lessen one's sentence when provocation is at play.

What till Poulsen arrives at San Siro .. I'm sure he will get a warm welcome

From Acmilan.com

Gattuso commented on Schalke’s Christian Poulsen: ‘I am a player that does blue collar jobs. I am not a traitor like him, who hits you when the referee is not watching. It is absolutely untrue that I paid him any compliments. At the end of the game, I went to him to say that he is an unfair player and some other choice words I’d better not repeat here…

hey Beuller, I think that TV evidences speak clear: we aren't talking about "technical fouls", this Poulsen is a player with no talent, his football is made of fraudulent provocations, he plays only maliciously .
Imho he should be banned and all the referees must open their eyes, because these situations are intolerable and they have not to do again.
I love football, not wrestling.

Are you trying to say that this guy Poulsen is worse than Materazzi?

Well...he has a lot of competition with Materazzi.
Difference is that Materazzi does in plain view of the ref and Poulsen waits till the ref is not looking.

Seems to me that Poulsen's display and events surrounding it become more exaggerated by the minute.
That is an understatement. It should be below the standards of a club like Milan – to such an extent - to focus on external factors to explain away the more important internal issues we’re dealing with (such as the defensive insufficiency). Physically we let them treat us as school boys; too many players didn’t display the necessary willpower to match the opponent. That the fans fall for these tearful, pitiful statements is just worrying.

About Poulsen, he’s a dirty player (not unique in any ways, though) who’ll do a lot to the interest of his team (notice that he was given a standing ovation when he was substituted and received top marks in the German papers). Ever since he played in the Danish league (for FC Cph, ), he’s never been a personal favourite of mine, however, I’ve never seen him deliberately attempt to end the career of an opponent (at the contrary to Totti who, in addition to the Lama action, nearly amputated Henriksen’s legs at the EC – was that as well an understandable consequence of Poulsen’s dirty play?)
