IMO Lucas can be a much better defensive mid, K77SH C...

To tell you the truth I was really happy when I read that, but come to think of it, we may actually end up with nothing. Remember how Galliani and Braida went to Brazil/Arg during the summer transfer window? They went to find a striker? They tried to get Sobis but they failed and came back to Milan with nothing? They also went to Real Madrid to get Ronaldo and came back with nothing. This trip does not necessarily mean we will sign 5 players in Jan, infact we will most likely end up with no one (if our transfer policy remains the same).

Im really hoping for Marcelo, not so much for Lucas. I also would like someone to be a substitute for Kaka. And another world class midfielder to substitute between Pirlo/Gourcuff/Seedorf and prolly someone to replace Gattuso (maybe even permanently). But still, midfield isnt our priority, this would only be the final touches.

IMO, the most important is a striker that will not need time to fit in the team and start getting goals immediately, and prolly a CB. A RB also. Damn, I know I've said we need like 7 players but to tell you the truth, we really do need that many players. We cant compete with Chelsea, Barca, Real and teams like that with subs in the likes of Ambrosini, Brocchi, Kaladze, Simic, Boriello, Costacurta, and Bonera.

I know its extremely unrealistic, but also wrong to just change 7 players in one window, but I'd like it if they slowly start doing it. They have already made a mistake in not starting a year ago buying younger players to replace Serginho, Cafu, Maldini, Costacurta etc. Maybe this Jan we can get a striker, and a RB, that is where we urgently need help. Then maybe if we have time to negotiate for an attacking midfielder to rest Kaka or to replace Kaka if he gets injured, or maybe even a CB.

We are goin to be linked to aloooooot of names in the next 2 weeks cuz of Braida's presence in South America. I will try not to believe everything even though I really will wish part of it will be true.

Just went to calciomercato and it says that after Braida viewed the Santos-Sao Paolo game (scouting Fabao), he took off from Brazil and is now in Argentina to scout more young talents, 2 players in particular: Fernando Gago (Boca) and Hugain (River).


Wat do you guys think he made of his Brazil trip? My bet is nothing, seeing as there are no rumours linking him with any negotiations with any club thus far.

If he comes back with Higuain and Gago I would be thrilled. But latest realistic news are that Emerson wants Milan transfer, and im sure Milan has him in their minds as well as those young Brasilians. But I do hope we will find some great RB,as Cafu is over! Cassano, Higuani, Gago, and Oddo ( Its just a joke but sounds nice )

I don't believe this. since Sobis went to Betis I think it is prudent to say that Oliveira was our first choice in this case. We would have got Sobis instead if we wanted.

Marcelo I fear will probably go to Real though. I have this distinct feeling he will be a massive player and that whoever gets him will be "lucky".

I remember an quote of Oswaldo de Oliveira(former coach of Kaká in São Paulo, and Marcelo in Fluminense), where the coach said that when he saw Marcelo to play for the first time(he was the coach that put Marcelo as a starter this season w/ only 17yo) had the same sensation of when he saw the young Kaká to play for the first time...that it was ahead of a differentiated player.

The article is in portuguese, but said that only Real Madrid, CSKA and Juve made real bids for the player...and the unbelievble thing is that Fluminense is only asking for 5 millions...

What do some of you have to say about Carlos Alberto. I have only seen him play in 3 games, and he does display great skill all the time. He is only 21, is an attacking midfielder and I didn't know this....but he played for Porto under Mourinho in the year they won the CL. He actually scored a goal against Monaco in the final. I think he is a very skillfull player that has a bright future, however seems to have some problems with his attitude.

If anyone else does know something about himand has seen him play, can you please give some oppinion on him.
