Aly Cissokho's Move To AC Milan Collapses

The Porto player will not be moving to the San Siro, according to the latest reports...

Earlier today, it was reported that concerns arose during Aly Cissokho's medical ahead of his move to AC Milan, regarding the player's teeth.

The left-back's move has now collapsed following the failed medical and he will not be joining the Rossoneri from Porto. There was a €15 million deal in the works, but the player will now remain a member of the Portuguese club after not signing the proposed contract.

The 21-year-old's agent, Boli, had little to say on the matter, but was clearly disappointed the transfer is now void. "You'll have to speak with Milan," he responded, according to Goal.com Italia, when asked about the latest developments.

Cissokho is considered a rising star, having moved to Porto in January 2009 and impressed enough to attract the interest of several to sides, including the Serie A giants.

Many sections of the press had praised the acquisition of the defender, believing he would be a key member of the squad under new coach Leonardo.

Ok nice Spina don, thanks for that. It looks like it's not 100% that he will not come yet. First of all, goal.com's news conflict with Milannews, and goal.com news source is goal.com italy... The only quote the have is from the agent saying 'You'll have to talk with Milan about it [the results]'.

So let's wait and see, really hope it goes through. First of for Milan, but also for Aly. From what I heard he's a real hard worker and it would be terrible for him to fail a medical, since it would seriously harm his future as a footballer.

seems the milan directors are trying to get Porto to either lower the price that was originally agreed upon or, if a problem arises in the future, have Porto pay a certain amount of money to Milan.

hopefully this works out and he becomes a milan player. would be great if we can get him even cheaper. if the deal does in fact collapse it will be a very rough start to this transfer market for milan

Aly Cissokho’s Second Medical With Milan Goes Well – Report

The French player will be able to sign for the Rossoneri after the second more detailed test revealed that there are no problems.

Porto defender Aly Cissokho is set to complete his move to AC Milan after fears were revealed earlier on that his move to the Italian giants would collapse.

Apparently during his first medical, club doctor Jean-Pierre Meersseman found some teeth problems which led to the negotiations stalling before a new examination was carried out.

However, a second medical was taken later on this afternoon and this time no problems were found, thus paving the way for the 21-year-old's move to the Rossoneri.

This was confirmed by the French player before departing for his holidays in Senegal.

"I confirm that I undertook a first medical which highlighted some problems, but soon afterwards a second more detailed check-up went well," declared the future Milan player to Maisfutebol.

"I already signed the pre-contract and now I go for my holidays in Senegal."

This means that on his return there will be a contract to sign which will tie him down to the Rossoneri, when he can therefore start his new adventure in Serie A.

I would hope that's just some weird translating error (although I cannot imagine what that error could be), because that's just weird. What'd teeth have to do with athletic performance, except in those strongman competitions where they pull a semi truck with said choppers?

This teeth part is taken too seriously and literally by many here. Apparently it's not the teeth themselves that are the problem......but it is some kind of bacteria/disease(?? don't know what to call it) that is found in the teeth and gums and it has influence on the muscle tissue and the heart in the body. Depending on how serious it is, it can cause the heart to beat irregularly and also problems and injuries in the muscle tissue. That's the reason why a second more detailed test was done to see how serious the problem actually is.

The thing that pisses me off is that websites like goal.crap found something out and wrote down every possible crap title they could think of on their website. The fans going nuts without even trying to find out the extend of the issue doesn't help much either.

I honestly doubt that the teeth problems are the real concern. Despite Galliani trying every excuse to get a bargain he wouldn't risk such a demand in the case of losing this young star. There must be something we haven't been told about, or this condition is worse than expected...

Where was it officially confirmed the transfer is off?

Last I heard Galliani says Porto must meet our demands and if they don't the transfer is off. Porto as far as I know haven't answered yet.

This is a farce really, I mean the player is saying the medical went well the second time and the pre-agreement has been signed and the full contract should be ready and waiting when he's back from holiday. Galliani is saying that nothing is assured and the deal looks most likely to be off, unless Porto meet our demands. Porto haven't said a word as far as I know.

I'm sick of hearing so many mixed messages from our club. First there was the Carlo debacle, which was still manageable. Then Kaka, where there was this ridiculous fuore for a decision that had apparently been taken a while ago. Lately it's Pato, Rino and Pirlo, where apparently one day the players are being quoted as saying one thing then the next day they're refuting all these comments. Then of course there's Dzeko, who is apparently for sale one day and not the next. Now it's this joke of a transfer, where all parties seem to be giving off different messages. Why is it no other clubs have all this BS surrounding them?

Ok, I say if there is a new coach, well, change the team, get the players Leo want for his way of play. Sell Pirlo and Gattuso, if they wanna go to Chelsea and buy other promising young players, Hernanes or Fabregas. But the bald duo at the same time also has to sell Dida Kalac and all the sh.it we have had and they have to resolve the big trouble because of the only one no EU player to buy (thanks to Viudez and $heva).
Are they unable to sell the young uruguayan? Is it possible that no teams in Europe want this player? I ask why they have bought him?
