[quote=nefremo;527870]We are not sitting back.....Galliani came out 2 times already and said that Kaka is not for sale and Perez will just have to accept that. What more do you want him to do....go and slap a Marca journalist?

About us being treated with disrespect and like a mid-table club.....that's a nother ridiculous statement. We are Milan, but that doesn't mean other players + newspapers won't be interested in our players or make declarations. The same happened with Ibrahimovic a couple of weeks ago......the same (actually it was much worse) happened with C.Ronaldo last summer and is still happening by the way......the same happened with C.Alonso in Liverpool......the same happened with Ronaldinho at Barca for 2 years in a row actually.......etc. Does this mean that Inter, Liverpool, Man, Barca are all treated like mid-table teams as well according to the standards you mentioned????

Hey, there are varying extents on how clubs are treated. Were Ibrahimovic, C. Alonso, etc... destabilized in the same way as Kaka? Were photos published of them accepting or wearing another team's jersey? The only similar example I can think of was CR7 last summer, and Sir Alex came out firing, threatening to sue REal Madrid, and promising fans that Ronaldo won't leave----and in the end, he won. But at least he fought. I just want Galliani and Berlusconi to react when other clubs go out of line in pursuing our players. We are not a supermarket where other so-called "bigger" clubs can come in and pick and choose what they want. We are Milan and should act accordingly.

Maybe I feel this way because being a long-term fan you always associate Milan with an aura of invincibility---ie no one can push us around, but when we start getting pushed around so much, I can't help but get annoyed.

I too am a long-term fan, also a life-long fan. And I guess it's a matter of opinion but I just don't see what else Milan should do. About the picture being published.....it was done by a newspaper. NOT by Madrid. So I don't know what you are suggesting that our board does. They came out and said that he won't leave in the classiest way possible and so did Kaka.

Ibrahimovic was and still is destabilized by the rumors. He never came out and said firmly that he is at Inter to stay for good like Kaka did. There was numerous reports saying that Mourinho will convince Ibra to stay and so on but that just shows that Ibra is having doubts himself....and when it comes to it actually, I really think he'll leav in a year or two anyway.

Alonso was perhaps the one most destabilized of them all as the whole summer people thought that he will probably leave. He himself came out on numerous times and said that he didn't know what was going to happen. So not having his picture with another team's jersey in some idiotic newspaper that makes up stories and wants to sell as many copies as possible doesn't make the situation any different.

Ronaldinho was the one that had Milan's jersey fotoshopped on him a couple of years ago when there were reports that Berlu will throw 100 mil at Barca for him. Yet again.....as a matter of fact Ronaldinho was the one that was the LEAST distabilized because EVERYONE including Berlu himself knew that Ronaldinho is not going anywhere that summer and that he's staying at Barca. An idiot newspaper photoshopping a picture doesn't really make a difference when the people in charge stand up firm and know exactly what they are going to do.

As for C.Ronaldo...you are right. Fergie stood up and fought. But why are you leaving out the fact that Galliani did the same with Mijatovic when those low-lives were claiming the same with Kaka. Galliani came out and said that he will sue if Real doesn't back off and take the correct approach. So Galliani may be wrong for a lot of things, but let's give credit where credit is due. When necessary he will do what he needs to do......but a photoshopped picture and stupid claims by one of the most uncredible papers out there "marca" is hardly the green light to open fire. Galliani and Kaka did the right thing...came out and denied everything. Period. That was the correct thing to do. And that is why (again I guess it's a matter of opinion) I think that saying we are treated like a mid-table club doesn't hold much ground right now.

But who cares about that ?!
Milan always was a team, a club with a lot of class and fair-play, if another club wants our players, it's exactly the same if you tell in medias "NO HE DOESN'T MOVE" (I write like that to look like it was someone angry who speaks ) or if you don't tell anything to medias, says "no" to the other club and keep your player. The result is the same. If Marca always says "Kaka' goes to Real Madrid", it's because that allows them to sell more paper by using the two biggest European clubs in history.

You know, I think Galliani speaks too much in medias (and often to say useless things as he doesn't believe any word he says lol, and anyway, it's seen on this forum, nobody believes him, even when he is serious). So if you add comments at each rumour about some of our players, that's going to be boring.

Just let them thinking they will have the player, they're happy like that, the fact is that Madrid tries to take us our idol since 3-4 years and he is still here, despite the fact that Galliani and co never came in medias to say "NO HE'S STAYING".

I found this pretty funny, as it's as though Ferguson knows very little about our players. Firstly, saying Kaka hasn't taken his breath away is just stupid, as the man obliterated Man Utd in 2007 and has been one of the best players in football for the past decade. I agree with him Messi is more exciting to watch though.

As for Maldini, saying he's not technically great is what really got to me. Maldini is one of the technically most proficient players I've ever seen. His ability on the ball is superb and it's one of the key reasons he can do all the things he does. Sacchi (I think, maybe Capello) said Maldini was most technically accomplished player he's ever worked with.

Couldn´t agree more.
Maldini technically was the reason that he makes such a easily transition from the left-back, to the center of the defence.
Paolo never was good at the air(he´s average), but his instincts and technically ability was the reason of his glorious career at center-back position(also)...

Regarding Kaká, I don´t blame Fergunson...He (and all M. United team) never saw what hit them!!!
Evra and Heinze are still looking for that blur that past them and make both hit in the air

the english media is conssitantly insulting to maldini. I saw a poll on sky of which 1 club player is most influencial

maldini barely beat out giggs and they made it seem like the surprise of the century. No disrespect to giggs of course, but paolo has 24 years, pretty impressive

Plus Paolo is equally good on both legs. You don't see many players like that, not even today.

Berlusconi announced that if Kaka' wants to leave, the club won't force him to stay ...

It looks like there is a communication war between Berlusconi and Kaka': Kaka' saying that if he leaves, it will be only because the club wants him to leave (at start, it was God who would choose, then the club, what's the next step ?) and he often said he would still stay for a long time these last few weeks, and now Berlusconi who says that if he leaves, it will be because he asked for.

All I have to say is: Berlusconi 1-0 Kaka'

If Kaka' leaves this summer, his credibility will drop !!

I think that Ricky really wants to stay, but only if Milan will invest in the future and sign the needed players to become a challenger for the CL again. I truly believe that he wants to become a milan legend and want to be the captain and leader of the 'new' milan. He knows that the squad needs younger and more quality players and that some older players need to leave.

With Kaka's inconsistent performances in the last two seasons, I have been thinking. Which position is really best for Kaka ? Is he better as a support striker? Or as an attacking midfielder.

Although he has the characteristics of a good withdrawn striker, his good finishing ability, pace and vision, I always felt that he used to be more consistent as an AM with two strikers in front of him. In this way, the defenders are occupied with both strikers thus allowing Kaka more time on the ball. Also I felt like as a striker, he only really plays well on the counter attack while as an AM he would be able to better contribute to the build up play.

Any other opinions on Kaka(AM) vs Kaka (SS) ?

I would play him as a trequartista, behind two strikers, because he likes to run around the midfield and collect the ball to himself, be more involved in the creativity of the game.

I think it's a waste of talent to put him as a striker and even if the coach puts him there, Kaka will often return to the midfield.
That's playing with one striker and two offensive midfielders...which is okay if you're Barca or Ajax from the mid 90ties.
