It doesn't change the situation at all because i forgot that here in MM we didn't discuss about this case, with interceptions beeing rejected as evidence ( it was discussed in another site, i mixed the things, sorry).
Both Juve and Milan lawyers asked for it, but they were rejected !!! So, basically, we're at the begining again !

I have an idea!!! Why we shouldn't ask Barca to give us Ronaldihno on loan if something happen to them
they probably made a simple inquiry about his availability in case we got relegated, which is always a possibility when you are being sued, isn't it?
And I would rather loan him to Lyon than sell him to Real M.

If Kaka wants to go on loan for a year to Lyon, we can say to them 'We'll let you have him for a season but in return we'll take Diarra off your hands after his loan expires'.

Simple business.

You have something people want, you make sure you get something of value in return.

Very bad news :

Calciopoli prosecutor Stefano Palazzi has today called for Juventus to be relegated into Serie C1, as well as urging the sporting tribunal to condemn Milan, Lazio and Fiorentina to Serie B.
Palazzi made his formal requests at around midday where he pushed for all the clubs charged with sporting fraud to face stiff penalties.

As well as seeing Juve thrown into “a Division lower than Serie B”, Palazzi wants them to be stripped of their last two Serie A titles and start the new campaign with a six-point penalty.

He’s also asked for Lazio and Fiorentina to begin with a 15 point penalty in next season’s Second Division, where they could be joined by a Milan side who start on minus 3 points.
There are also now 25, and not 26, individuals on trial for sporting fraud – FIGC member Cosimo Maria Ferri was cleared of any wrongdoing last night – and Palazzi is pushing for lengthy bans and fines.

Former Juventus director general Luciano Moggi, the man at the centre of the scandal, could face a five-year ban from the game plus multiple fines of 5,000 Euros.

Palazzi has asked for the same length of punishment to be handed out to ex-Juve chief executive Antonio Giraudo, Lazio President Claudio Lotito, Milan official Leonardo Meani, plus Diego and Andrea Della Valle of Fiorentina.

Other notable individuals who may face similar consequences include former FIGC chief Franco Carraro, ex-refereeing designators Paolo Bergamo and Pierluigi Pairetto, and current referee Massimo De Santis.

Milan Vice-President Adriano Galliani is facing the threat of a two-year stop, while promising referee Gianluca Paparesta could be sidelined for a year.

The trial began last Thursday but was adjourned until Monday even if nobody was questioned on its restart as the day was dominated by objections from defence lawyers.

All involved maintain their innocence.

The FIGC are hoping for a verdict, which may not be as stiff as Palazzi is pushing for, to be delivered by July 10.

Nothing strange here Bram....you will ask for a lot, so you can be sure you will get at least something at the end.

This is really worying, my only hope is Berlusconi. And im very dissapointed in Galliani. Not only we lost 5 out of last 6 scudettos, we are now faced with serie B for FIXING 2nd place. And Calderons claims that he knows how to get Kaka' are sounding really bad right now( becouse I heard kaka' has clausole if milan goes down that he can leave ). Im keeping my fingers crossed for point deduction, becouse if we go down there will be no signings, and no Kaka' next year. I should be studying now for exams and all I do is wait for the verdict.

guys prosecutors always ask for the worst penalty...this is how it works anywhere.

Even then our position is good...read the last sentence of Bram's post.

I am still optimistic.

Exactly my words! I do not expect Milan in Serie B and Juve in C1. Probably we will be on Serie A, but with some points deducted...

Il Milan ha solo protestato
04/07/2006 12.27.00

Berlusconi: "I'm shocked and outraged by the request made by the accusers; Milan was not gifted ref calls, on the contrarary, we were victims of decisions that favoured other clubs. I find it rather difficult not to read this ill-proportioned request by the accusers as a motif and political will absolutely unacceptable within sport".
"Milan's referee operator only complained and only asked fair assistants. Relegation is a sanction congruent only if favours were granted on the pitch. It's absolutely improper ad impossible for whom only, and rightfully so, complained for wrongdoings. I would like to add that Milan is leading the official club ranking in Europe and has the great merit of having always kept high Italy and Italy's Football prestige"

I wonder about this :
"I can't see it finishing on time. With all the objections it seems impossible," said Gaetano Imparato, 46, a journalist for La Gazzetta dello Sport.

The delays have raised fears that the trial -- and the appeals process that will follow -- will overrun the deadline of July 27 set by UEFA for the Italian Football Federation (FIGC) to submit the list of teams to compete in next season's Champions League and UEFA Cup competitions

What happens if no decission is given until July 27 ?
Will Juve, Milan, Inter and Fiorentina play in CL, or no Italian team will play in Europe ????

And there is one thing i can't understand at all. The prosecutor asks for 2 years ban for Galliani, and only 5 years for Moggi.
Now, i love Juve, but i never liked Moggi, so i'm honestly saying this : How can you ask only 5 years out of sport life for Moggi, and not ask for life ban ????
All i can think of is that prosecutors made a deal with Moggi. He gives them all the names, and they'll be gentle with him

I think this would be too much for the clubs and Italian FA to stomach...therefore it may very well be that the top 4 will play UCL, or those closest to Milan and Juve if we are omitted due to points deduction...IMO, because of this necessity, (ie meeting UEFA´s deadline) the FA will have no choice but to make a decision, regardless of the appeal process...and as such, I strongly believe that Juve wont be in the UCL, and Milan may be, depending on the timing of the points deductions.

First and foremost, i would like to commend on Tony29 for his constructive and argumentative posts(which of most i strongly disagree due to biasness) but i've kept myself from replying(again, due to biasness). I hate to admit this but sometimes i find some members of MM family being too *Naive* or just plain Patriotic to the Milan Cause. They just don't see the Big Picture.. Its fairly obvious that if Juventus had stolen a few scudettos from the rest in Seria A then why did Berlusconi & Galliani despite having Powerful post in the Italian FA & Italian Government kept quiet all this while?

Its fairly stupid to say that its because we lacked of evidence but don't some of you (deep down in your heart) know that somehow, interconnected-ly we are involved too? Italy has long been intercepting peoples conversations and why only now did these conversations surface and also at such timing?

I'd rather stand up and put my hands up for Juventus for the way they consistently maintained to win their *smaller* games be it they bought it or not because the referee can only do so much in a game. Ac Milan did have some contreversial games in the 2003/2004 season but no one said anything because Everyone knew we deserved it as we were Head & Shoulders above everyone else in the way we played tactically & beautifully.

We have to stop acting like Ostriches and put our heads in the Ground and act dumb. Its a fact that we are also involved(thus we are getting punished) for our part no matter how insignificant it is.

Scenario: 4 Friends Went to Rob a bank (Juventus,Milan,Fiorentina & Lazio) with Juventus being the Mastermind & Main Gunman. Fiorentina & Lazio being Pistol holders maintaining the power in the bank while Juventus gets the Cash from the teller. Milan is in the Lookout for Cops & Driver of the Getaway Car.. We din actually do the robbery nor point the gun at people but our fans are always blaming Juventus for masterminding the Heist and making him out to be the only Bad Person in the group while the rest not making too much of an impact in the situation. Why?

Let all of us get our just punishments and move on. We lost the title the day we lost some small games and dropped points un-necessarily. We even crashed out of the Italian Cup to some *small* team 3-0 for crying out loud but I still proudly wore my Milan Jersey out to work. Why do we fall?? So we can pick ourself up and move on..

May we get some good players this year and improve our consistency and then show these Juventini whos the Boss.
