Now that the South American booty is looted by "Los Disastrous". I think its time if we take a look european options (Nothing against non-eu players but we just didn't buy anything and when Braida said "They all want to go to RM", I am not spending time dreaming about them.)

Two players (full back) who come to my mind:

Antonio Barragan (RB). Talented, proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-HfzX3i8K4g

Wiki info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Antonio_Barrag%C3%A1n
Jim might be knowing about him more as he was with Liverpool. He is now with Depor but Liverpool have a sick clause in this sale, which entitles them to buy the player back in 2-3 years for half a million. Benitez is smart! He buys only good players and will go to any corner of earth to find them. So I guess we should follow his steps or even ask him for some advice on good young players. I hoped that we could have got Mark Gonzalez and turned him into a wing-back, what an amazing player we could have made out of him.

Jeroen Drost (LB). Talented, no proof yet.

Wiki info: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Jeroen_Drost

My dutch friend told me about Drost. He is with Heerenveen and has good potential. He is fast, good at stealing and sort of a wing-back. He can grow the Milan way by playing under the shadow of our other LBs.

Amongst the 2 Barragan looks more promising and plays as a RB (a position which has only Bonera as a back up who is actually a CB)

I was thinking how to spend 100mil we want to give to Barca for Ronaldinho....look at this...
................amelia..............
oddo....nesta....barzagli...kaladze....
...............pirlo...................
...gattuso........gourcuff.........
.......kaka'........duff.........
..............torres..................

Im sure that, for 100mil, we can buy Amelia,Oddo,Barzagli,Duff ( who plays now in Newcastly but is world class wing forward), and Torres. With players like Seedorf, Jankulovski, Ambrosini, Oliveira and Inzaghi/Gila still in our squad, we have super team, and still we have done a good job with refreshing our squad. So this is my super (maybe realistic team )....

We need goals, and Iaquinta isn't the way to go. Kaladze is miles better than Barzagli also.

If it is Ancelotti's last season then I hope to see someone who has faith in youth, and plays good att football. I'd make a big offer to Wenger, esp if he could bring Henry.
Henry, R10, & Kaka in a 433 formation with a good midfield would destroy any team

probably not, besides he is injured more often than the italian. i think they are quite on par. we need one more quality cb and if we would get barzagli i would start him, if he is not too impressive kaladze can still take the starting spot. we just need a bit of competition and with nesta also out more often than in the past i think all 3 would get enough minutes.

i know he isn't too popular but i think he would be a good back up player and with inzaghi still around for some time i think we would be covered pretty well. (in the formation i posted above)

anyway this is all just fantacalcio (and i love doing those formations *gg*). there are many ways to go, i just hope we decide on one and then do something.

I think the philosophy of a club like Milan is to always look for the best no matter where they are from, but the management in recent times don't agree, and are looking for bargain basement buys. IMO Iaquinta & Barzagli are not the players to lead us forward, neither as starters or reliable subs. We need to be testing the resolve of other players the way other clubs do with Kaka & did with Sheva. None of this crap like he's a good player, but we happy with our non-scoring forwards. Let's get serious. Otherwise though in charge should seek other jobs.

1) Barzagli is Italian. The others are not. (Obvious statement, but that's 1 big reason why he's likely favored)
2) Who I would take depends entirely on the price tag.
3) I can understand the other guys - but Ledley? Seriously? He's not bad, but if that's the best we can sign, it's not that great.

I would rather we go for Perea (Atletico Madrid) and/or Gabriel Milito (Real Zaragoza), both seem tough centre-backs, which is what we need.
