Sorry about the delay ... i'm getting there with the holding page though

I'm moving back to the UK in January, and would love to join the club.

I've discussed starting a UK fan club with quite a few Milan fans who watch the matches at Italia Uno (Italian cafe that shows all Serie A games, 91 Charlotte St, London, W1T 4PX - 020 7637 5326) in London, so I know there's some interest there as well. I won't be able to do anything about it right now, as I'm in Boston for the summer, but I'm sure I could drum up some support when I get back.

Dear All,

I am happy to announce that the holding page for our website is live! Please visit the site @ www.milanclub.co.uk
All thanks to Jamie for doing a wonderful job. He is still working on the rest of the site and has assured me that it will not be long now until it's complete.
Nico has also been in touch and has promised to have all our documents ready for next week.

I know we have all been a little quite these last 2 weeks but I put that down to it being the holiday period.

We support a great team that has just landed some huge signings and with everything we are doing as well, it looks like its going to be a very special season for us all.

The following is what we agreed on to be the aims of the Club in our last meeting. In the initial stage we also decided to keep the club membership for free but this will be reviewed after we reach the target of 100 members (we are now on 32).

1. To provide a meeting and place for all Milan fans in the UK and also for all the Italian Milan fans when they travel with the team here in the UK

2. Provide easy access to tickets for all Milan games

3. Organise trips to Milan matches in the UK and abroad

4. Arrange events to and meetings with other football fan clubs here in the UK

5. Provide official representation of Milan supporters here in the UK

I didn't realise the site loaded a little slow, with the images cached on my computer it seemed pretty quick to me, until i just went to the page ... oops

I'll save the images again, but at a lower file size which should make the whole page load quicker. That's if there's a call for it.

How realistic do you think it would be to get former Milan players from the UK to write something for us ? Blissett, Wilkins, Hately, Jordan (and any others i may have missed), i guess they could be all asked politely to see if they would be interested in writing something about their experiences in Milan, from a UK perspective. I know it's unlikely given we can't afford to pay them, but you never know. Maybe they could be linked to the site in another way ?

Well done to all for getting the site up and running and also for setting down some aims of the organisation.
I think it is quite likely that we will get drawn against a UK team in the CL given that there will hopefully be 7 UK teams in the groups and 8 groups.It would be great to sit amongst the Milan fans in the away end at Goodison,Annfield or even Ibrox or Parkhead.Hopefullythe formation of the club will make such trips possible.
One of my colleagues at work is very good friends with Mark Hately so I'm sure he would do something for the site .What kind of thing would you like?How about a wee interview-we could put togeather a dozen or so questions on paper regarding his time in Milan which he could answer in his own time?Anyone have any special questions for Mark they would like us to put to him?
