Breaking News: Barca Snatch Thuram And Zambrotta

Barcelona have reportedly reached an agreement with Juventus for defenders Zambrotta and Thuram.

The deal will see 19 million Euros change hands, subject to Barcelona reaching agreements with the two players.

The negotiations with the players should be concluded this evening, following which a formal announcement could be made.

Barca bosses landed in Turin yesterday and held initial talks, and promptly concluded the deal today, beating the likes of Chelsea, Real Madrid and Milan in the race for full back Zambrotta, as well as netting the veteran French defender.

That a court order directing Barcelona to hold elections immediately was issued today, is rumoured to have played an important role in the quick agreement, as Barca were earlier looking to peg Juve back to 15 million.

It seems barca have a done deal for both of em......

With Canna and Emerson gone, THruam is gone and it seems that Zambrotta is also gone and Buffon staying????, What is Milan doing? I have faith in them, but the chances of getting Buffon Canna and Zambrotta do not come every year.

Seems like we are going to be the losers of this transfer campaign... We're literally "giving away" players that could and should be ours. Especially in the case of Buffon and Zambrotta.

there's something on calciomercato, i think it says we're rushing through an offer to try and catch up with the other offers for Zambrotta. I think that's what it says.

There's also something about Buffon, again linking him with us.

Maybe someone can translate it accurately ... i've no idea what's going on anymore.

Zambrotta would have fit in great in Milan, but he seems lost to Barca now. I don't know if its because of the scandal or if its because these Spanish giants (Real, Barca) spend more money on big stars than us, and at the end of the day big stars want to play with their equals.
Somehow will we get out of this better and stronger than before, I´m sure of that, Forza Milan

Well Barca dont spend that much at all if you think about it. By the way, can anyone confirm that Zambo deal is final with Barca?

To be honest the way Real and Chelsea spend would have me worried as a fan.

You are right, but they do spend money on first team players (Deco, Eto, Ronaldinho) who could improve the team, and we IMO don't do that

.
I can confirm IT'S NOT
Not even Thuram to Barcelona is a done deal.
Only Cannavaro+Emo to Real is official.

And Inter will probably get Vieira+Zlatan
(btw, i will be really suprised if they buy these 2 players exactly, after the fight they had few months ago)

I don't think this is "Final" yet. I think both club are in agreement (Barca & Juventus) and it's up to Thuram (gave a yes already) and Zambrotta to give a YES. World Cup players are still on vacation, and Zambrotta in particular hasn't given a definite "YES" like Cannavaro & Emerson did (now all they have to do is sign) . But that fact right now is Juventus is in agreement with Barca and if other clubs can catch up, then things can change.

I don't know...maybe Juventus purposefully didn't give Milan a chance to catch up with Barca if Milan did give a good offer.

if I am Milan, I will just put 25M on the table and say, hey Juve Buffon and Zambrotta, take it or leave it.

I doubt, Juve can get that kind of amount for those two players.
