They wont be talking about that any time soon. Maybe next week they will decide. It is only 3 games that need to be played. Surprisingly enough all Italian teams in CL have their games postponed and will now have to squeeze this game in their already busy schedule.

Well, the games being post poned, and in milans case abbandoned, that will affect there position on the table until the matches are played. The problem, also is next week there are the euro 2008 qualifiers, and many players mid-week, will leave to train with their respective countries.

Our match was officially abandoned after only eight minutes, so it's likely it won't be replayed.

Just award the affected matches 0-0 draws and let's move on. Not striving to get these matches replayed would be the most sensible thing FIGC could do. If the matches are replayed, donate a portion of the gate to the dead fan's family to help them with final expenses.

FSC just aired a Serie A promo as I wrote this that said, "A league rises from the shadow of controversy and begins a new era." My ass.

I really think that the idea to ban match after that incident was silly sure it was a terrible tradgedy, but s FIGC president said it was nto footballrelated.

I'm shocked and disgusted by some of the post here. All cops are bastards? Respect for Atalanta fans? Give me a f-ing break! Ultras are not Calcio, they don't get to make the rules. The behavior of these fans should be panalized. They should be thrown in jail. The fan was shot during a fight that HE and his thug friends started, if you make a poor decision you have to pay the coinsequnces. In this case he was killed. Thats too bad, move on. But if this was not football related then why react this way? Does Serie A need to stop everytime an a-hole Ultra dies? There are reports that Ultra leaders were meeting to see how they can get the Roma game cancelled, if this is true then Serie A should be cancelled for the rest of the year. These so-call 'fans' need to be weeded out. See how they like it when there are no games to go to. The FIGC need to grown some balls and rid Italian Soccer of these thugs. And I know the ultras bring atmosphere to games, i've been to the San Siro. But is it worth it? Is the violence and aggression that they bring helping italian soccer. Milan are European champions, Italy are World Champions but events like this are what people will remember. My thoughts are with the police that are dealing with these nutcases.

I would encourage you guys to go to youtube and search 'The Real Football Factory' and watch the episodes. I've seen the episodes about Italy and the Ultras in Turin and Rome. Some of them are pretty good, and they give you insight about the delusion that these guys are living in .

On Italian SKY where the match Atalanta - Milan was supposed to be shown they said that it is very possible that this match will not be replayed and that Milan will get a 0:3 victory, as the game was stopped after 7 minutes bcoz of Atalanta fans. That would be a very good solution for us, as we really dont have spare time to replay this match...we have CL and many of our players are also playing in Euro 2008.

Well said.

Interesting how most of the Ultras want to start a rumble but then turn around and cry foul when they get a dose of their own medicine.

yeah i completely agree with what he said also. I do think the FIGC needs some balls and to stamp out this behavior from the Ultras sooner than later. Im no way proud of english fans or english people in general for there behavior approad, but i do think "our" approach to stadium security and banning fans from stadiums works.

If it happened over here we would have Prosecuted any of the gits kicking there way through the fence. They would have been caught on our "big brother" style cctv cameras entering the stadium. It amazes me like watching over the footage again of how those fans got a pole into the stadium. It amazes me that they are allowed to cover all there faces up? i cant even go to Tesco and buy a pint of milk with my hoody up.. *not that im a chav or anything
