How do Sheva and Viudez affect our non-EU signings? They were both signed last year. As a matter of fact, we have 1 non-EU left right now because Sheva left. The other non-EU is taken by Thiago Silva.

So as the rules stand right now.......Whether Viudez goes or stays is irrelevant because we will still have only 1 non-EU spot left.

GALLIANI: "Dzeko unico obiettivo, mercato Milan concluso"

In short Galliani said that Dzeko is the only Milan's objective, and Milan's market is closed.

OK, whose the first shooter on Galliani?

No, it is not irrelevant, because for every non EU player engaged from outside Italy with an Italian club another non EU player must be released.
And at the moment the maximum engagement of non EU players are 2 for each club.

This means that Sheva's place is filled by Thiago Silva and Dzeko if he comes will take Viudez place. And if the rules will be emended for the 3 player and Milan will sign Hernanes, then Kalac must be released.

Of all the things we can criticize the management over, and of course there are many, being careful over a medical issue is not one of them. Even if it's just a potential issue. Having said that they should decide and not leave others (including Porto) in limbo, asking for a discount over a medical issue is not what I call fair.

The thing is that if Porto is stupid enough to say yes, then from now on all clubs will first agree on a transfer fee then say Oh there is something wrong with this player, need a discount....

Gabriel, the medical problem is not something invented. These problems can be verified by medical doctors. Even Porto knows with these problems, as they accepted to change the first agreement but till now do not agree with the full new conditions.

Galliani is in no position to be negotiating for the deal.. It's true that his price is 15m and thats ridiculous, but thats just tough luck. All the world knows that we got plenty of cash now, all the world knows we NEED to buy otherwise Galliani/Berlusconi will be the most hated people in the world...so Porto definitely have the upper hand.

Galliani better not mess this up. Just when we though we finaly got a promising signing, this comes up.

No it ain't. We definitely gonna hear more soon.

And a reply to Maltese_Charlie's post about the Non-EU spots...I think you're wrong. Nefremo's right.

At the moment, Italian clubs are allowed 1 non-EU player to come in, and another one to come in to replace a non-EU player leaving. Now that Sheva has left and Thiago has taken his place, we could get one more without needing any Non-EU players to leave.

Yes, hitmannq8 is right about the non-EU thing.

I also think that we haven't heard the last of Aly Cissokho. A loan with a fixed price option seems like it will be the result of the latest developments.

I think the agent wants the deal to go through so he pockets his commission. If it doesn't, then they're back to square 1 again. Another club will make a bid, but would be likely to be less, he will have to negotiate a contract again---again likely to be less than what we offered, and he ends up having to work harder and pocketing less comission.

So, let him earn his money. Let the agent do the rest of the work, if it works out Cissokho joins us, if not, then we look elsewhere. I don't know why the signing of a young prospect from Portugal is causing so much angst.

I don't think it is fair to say that Porto accepted the change in the agreement. As only Galli is saying Porto's demand are too high....

The point I am making is that if Milan finds his medical problem too much to bear, then they should have move on instead of asking for this and that.
