Flamini was regular first team player at Arsenal, despite the Arsene winger desired to keep him, he opt for Milan, and now he they consider him a bench player................

I think, in first half Robinho did well, he showed that the coach was right to pick him instead of other players. In second half he played bad, just like most of our players before Robinho was substituted. But how he finished the ball when he faced 1v1 with the GK was disgusting. We were leading 2 goals but a pro player shouldn't throw away chance like that. From games they have played until now (Sokratis 2 games, Yepes 1 game) I still can't judge which is better. I want to see more games from Yepes. Last edited by Siregar; 08-11-2010 at 05:23. |

Honestly the scoreline does not reflect Milan s victory over Bari. I didnt watch the whole game but from the moment i saw it, we were leading 2-0 and we had 2 more chances before Bari had netted their first goal. That would have probably left Bari helpless. So at the moment our problem lies in finishing the chances we have more than anything else.
Liked the way the team played yesterday. Happy that Flamini was back and he was doing brilliantly. Even Ambro though he lost the ball too often. But what i witnessed yesterday was that we were pushing for the ball. We were more mobile yesterday. Thats why a Flamini,Pirlo,Boaetang midfield would be brilliant according to me. Also liked the idea of using Pirlo behind the two strikers for those final 20 mins. Hope he is used in that role more often. Plus i noticed Seedorf doing some running

Not an outstanding performance, but one with good tactical discipline, albeit slack concentration. Bari were poor, and this made the match very easy, but those who came back from injury etc did well.
Bari tried to attack from wide areas, but our workrate and solidity in midfield meant they rarely got the better of us. Even when they should have, they lacked the quality to produce much meaningful. We set up with the usual system, but with Flamini playing in Boateng's place, Ambro in Pirlo's place and Seedorf further up. Flamini and Ambro were very good in the match, showing good awareness off the ball and doing what they needed to. Our biggest failing was our inability to maintain our concentration in the second, gifting 2 rubbish goals. On the whole, the match wasn't bad against a very poor opponent. Players... Abbiati - Can't be faulted on the goals really. Abate - A solid game, although maybe gave too much room for crosses Nesta - poor game, giving away the ball many times and losing his man Yepes - Poor, looked sluggish and caught out a couple of times Zambrotta - Poor, would have struggled badly if not for Flamini protecting him from Alvarez. Rino - Solid outing once again Ambro - Simple but good distribution in Pirlo's role and tactically very good. Nice goal too. Flamini - Tactically always in the right place and also very good in both offence and defence. Seedorf - Not bad, if unspectacular. Ibra - Poor, often flat footed and unprepared and poor on the ball overall. Robinho - he moves better than Pato, but a poor game with his finishing. Pato - An improvement, but should move more. Pirlo - NA |

Strongly disagree...Just watch carefully his positioning in the first goal..and the handling in the second.

I think Yepes is the type of player who really needs to play in order to be solid, thus having him on the bench is pretty useless.

I disagree with ACMILAN1983, Abbiati has not been himself in the last two games and should have done better on the goals....

Abbiati has not been much use for more than the last 2 games, has very little to do but still screws up in someway, just not like Dida did by dropping the ball so he seems to escape criticism, about time Amelia got some minutes he looked solid against madrid apart from the two conceded but there was not much he could do about them (crap wall and massive deflection).

Seems my comment on Abbiati has a lot of disagreement which is fair. I honestly can't remember the first Bari goal now (will watch it later). As for the second, I honestly don't expect much from a keeper in a one on one situation and the defenders made a bigger mess on the goal than Abbiati imo (I guess like Berlu, I place less importance on a goalkeeper than outfield players).

![]() I don't know how Sokratis performance playing as fullback is. He could get more games if he can play decent there when Thiago and Nesta are playing. Last edited by Siregar; 09-11-2010 at 05:50. |

Then, I'd tend to say that on the first goal, Abbiati let the right side of the goal totally open (the goalscorer shot in the middle of the goal or almost, and Abbiati is far to touch the ball) ... On the second goal, who expected the Bari player to shoot this way ?! Nobody, so even if it wasn't a powerful shot, it was surprising and I don't blame Abbiati for not stopping it. Abbiati could have cost us a penalty too when he didn't manage to take the ball in his hands and "pushed" the striker of Bari ... Anyway, it's obvious that Abbiati is amazing on most of the long shots, he's quite secure on crosses, he doesn't make mistakes, but when he's on his line, he's very vulnerable.
