I am also watching the game,unbelievable that the referee did not see that or the linesman.....that was obvious a hand ball.

don't believe for a sec that he didn't see it. these kind of things happen too often for me to believe those are all accidents.

Well first they seed the playoffs to give so called bigger teams the advantage , that was ridiculous as an Irishman im sick right now Thierry the thief well more so Fifa that was a ridiculous decision. Not only did he handle it but seeing as that didn't work he handled again a joke thats what it is.

Now Ireland are not the greatest team around technically but we deserved to get this far and for it to end like ridiculous.

Im sad coz of my country losing , but this stupidity with refs in the Ireland game made me even more angry.

I sympathise with you, Crisp. A few years ago, (I cant remember which year, EC qualifications, I believe my compatriot Bosniaco should know), Spain needed a point against Bosnia to qualify. The score was 0-1 until 97th !!! minute (although the referee pointed 2 minutes of stoppages), when, after 2 or three red cards for Bosnia, Spaniards finally equalised. To make things worse, Albelda played the whole game even though he was "rewarded" a yellow card in the previous game, which should disqualify him because he had the yellow card before that!

and what happened? nothing. FIFA wants big teams in big competitions, thats all.

Exactly I do believe (maybe my heart talking) that big teams get big decisions. Tv going over the game that handball was disguting by Henry disgusting by the refs and two French were offside when the freekick came in but only one Squilacci was interfering in a big way he was dragging on Dunne that caused Dunne to miss the ball. Commiserations to you too Stitch , well no holiday to South Africa for me next summer. The world cup will worse off without our fans I don't wish any badness to France but the officials were awful tonight.

"It's a disgrace"

This result is a disgrace for football, this French team is a disgrace, Thierry Henry is no more a football player and he's a disgrace.

Ireland deserved and deserves 10 times more than France to go to the next WC. They played simple football (in attack, because defensively and tactically, they were amazing) whereas France never managed to do 3 passes in a row. The goal should never have been allowed and the way they played, France, without that ridiculous goal (Henry is such a coward, he should have said what he did, especially from a guy like him who says he is fair-play etc ... and in such an important game), they would have been eliminated or would have gone to the penalties.

Another game from this French team that makes me hate them even more ...

They simply suck, the referees suck, UEFA suck, FIFA suck.

Just to make the link with that topic: Gignac played 2 very bad games for the French team. Anyway, he doesn't have any experience of the very high level as his Toulouse team just plays in Europa League.

I dunno maybe we need the forth official to have a look at a replay that is bad. The moral in this country is very bad at the moment with the recession , and this would be a huge boost the Irish football association has lost out on millions. It happened nothing can happen now but if Tiger Woods or Roger Federor (Gillette advert) cheated so blatantly they would be finished. But it was just a reaction by Henry I do not think when the ball was coming he thought Il handle it twice and play it across it was a reaction it was cheating but not pre-meditated, I blame the officials.

It happens to the "smaller" teams all da time... 2002 UCL ZeRoberto got a yellow card for wasting time in the first half of the semi final so he couldnt play against Madrid...

I feel bad for the Irish, they played a better game, its not quite Italy vs Korea but its still terrible

It was amazing. offside + double handball, and Henry didn't look shamed at all.
