another historic milan moment is the first friendly of the 1995/96 season. Milan-Alessandria. We won 3-0 but the score is not important. Milan had lost the league the year before so they prepared a big team for the following season. This was the first milan match for weah and baggio. the following is the attacking force of that side (there are 6 no.10s! incredible!):

weah
baggio
savicevic
boban
futre (was injured for the whole season, but he had shown great class in the Asian Tour the previous summer)
simone
di canio
lentini

needless to say, we ran away with the league that year. does anyone remember this friendly?

a goal by van basten against real madrid a while back (but correct me if i'm wrong) it was a header from the 18, hits the crossbar, bounces off the keepers back, then crosses the line. what does van basten do after? celebrates with a dance infront of the real fans

and.........weah's full field run @ san siro against verona

and ronaldo's cry after losing il campionato against lazio

Because we know Milan is respected as decent club... a moral club... a club where good players can reach a status of semiGods, even though they play for the DEVIL...

where a player like Gilardino prefers to ignore offers of a lot more money, just to be a part of a solid organization... where there is respect, and loyalty, and a permanent ambition to win... because our history demands it, and our future deserves it...

and because regardless of internal disputes in the Curva, like with Fossa dei Leoni, our team knows that Milan fans all over the world will still follow them, in San Siro, on TV,
over the internet... any way possible...

because at the end of the day, they're performance is more than just points... it reflects on our life... we go to bed with a smile after games like the 3-1 vs. Juve...
or with sorrow like after the 3-2 loss against Inter...

Because unlike Juve, we don't need refs. help if are not as good in one game... or unlike Inter, we don't need to buy almost a bunch of expensive players every season,
just to conform with making it to the next UCL, or win Coppa Italia...

because we are elegant, we are classy... we are fair... and that's the heritage of glories like Baresi... and no Milan player would dare to become a diva like Cassano at Roma... because Captain Maldini would only need to stand in from of him, even silent, to remind him that Milan is above any other club.

For Paolo and Billy.

I wish to attend their testimonial. They are the real Milan legends, along with Baresi ofcourse. It's time people start paying them more respect especially Billy. Their contributions will never be overshadowed by players like Shevchenko. Whenever I'll look at the Milan's emblem I will always see their faces shining through it. They have set the limits of loyalty and devotion. I am a proud milanista!
