Oh how I wish signing Torres meant we never would have signed Gilardino...

And yes, there can be no doubt, given our relationship with Atletico and Torres' explosion in Liverpool, we certainly missed out on a top player who would guarantee us goals for a long long time. IMO, signing Gilardino looked to be a huge mistake, and how much did he cost us? And BTW, how much did Torres cost Liverpool? Wouldn't be too much more, no?

It reminded me of them because you and I were the only people that thought he'd be something big (well mzk too but for totally different reasons ). Zlat and co. laughed us out of town and resorted trying to humiliate us. Now Torres is simply the best striker in the world atm and Zlat is nowhere to be seen

It took me only one match played by Torres for Atletico Madrid when he was only 18 to see that this was an extraordinary talent. A diamond.

I think Tony29's hitmen finally caught up with Zlat

Though his absence is a concern, i'm sure someone knows where he is/what he's up to.

I asked him not too while ago, and he said he has a busy moment, taking care of some stuff...nothing to worry about, though his presence is greatly missed!!!!!

Torres is the greatest striker on the planet right now. I've always been a fan of him and of course he's missed by Milan. He would do wonders for our team with his pace, skill and goalscoring abilities. Him together with Kaká and Pato would be unbeatable.

He has a name you know.
His name is Alexey, he's 47, ex-KGB, and yes, he made sure you'll never hear anything from Zlat again.

I think we have to factor that he plays in the Premier League. IMO he was and is an overrated player.

he was indeed a very over-rated player, but now he is playing really well.. I still stick to my choice that if he came to Milan he would have sucked.. but hey, whats the point in complaining over spilt milk? forget Torres, we have Pato!

I guess so, but sometimes I wonder if we have ever taken adavantage of our so-called close relations (and money owed) with Atletico Madrid. I'm sure we had first option on Torres, and to see us pass him up, and then see him explode in Liverpool is surely frustrating. He would have been a perfect partner for Pato...oh well..

Jim, you're getting week in week out more eloquent than ever. Are you reading Cicero's "De oratore" ?

He scores because he's a quility player, not because of luck. He builds up his goals by himself. And scoring is never a matter of luck: for ex. when people who says Inzaghi scores because of luck i think they don't understand a damn about football. A poor striker doesn't score. Period.
