Alexandre Pato Thread

I thought we needed one over here, now that he is a part of our beloved team...

Good idea, well, what can I say, he's a young boy, the few collections of goals I've seen from him show me he's full of class and ready to go, let's hope the best for him and let's see another kaka

We can't. You should have exchanged Grimi for Pato so we could have considered him another Inter to Milan

Pato can only play official Milan matches in January 2008. He will turn 18 on 2nd or 3rd September 2007 and Italian rules say that clubs cannot subscribe an under 18 coming from outside Europe. Since the last date to subscribe players is August 31 and Pato will still be 17 he can only play official matches as from January 2008 when the winter transfer market will open again. After January Pato will be able to play also in the Champions League.

As from 2nd September Pato can play friendly matches infact his debut will be a frienly vs Dinamo Kyiev in September. Pato will be able to train with Milan's 1st team after 2nd September and I think he will play with Filippo Galli's primavera (under 20).

At least that's something... I was worried as I thought he would never play AT ALL till January...

I doubt Pato will be allowed to play offiacial games for the primavera as he has already signed a professional contract in his career (with Internacional).
Chances are he will be put thru Milan lab and prepped physically for Serie A from january.

What I hope is that Milan, eventually, would be able to include him in their CL lists as a Milan grown player for which the rules are (I think) that a player must have been registered with a club for at least 3 consecutive years between the ages of 15 and 21 ... that would certainly be a big plus for the team.

I certainly hope he plays for someone, he will be severely lacking in match practice otherwise by January

I`m sure he will be MIlan & Europe top player in 5 years . . . I`m sure that Ronaldo & Inzaghi will tutor Pato, Ronaldo will teach him ` how to be success in European Football ' and Inzaghi will teach him ' how to beat offside traps ' . HAhahahahha . . . a combination between il phenomenon & superpippo

from acmilan.com:

PATO: "The phenomenon is Ronaldo"
8/16/2007
RIO DE JANEIRO - New Milan purchase Alexandre Pato refuses to be labeled a 'phenomenon': "I am not a star and neither a phenomenon - he said to "Zero Hora" - the real phenomenon is Ronaldo and I want to learn from him, I'll ask him for a lot of advice. When I arrived at Milanello for the medical tests, Ronaldo came to me, he was at my side and told me to speak to him if I ever needed something. I've always dreamt of playing alongside him, now I'm happy I can do it."

He allready speaks in the same modest way like Kaka'.

ACMILAN1983 will become famous soon enough
He apparently revealed Milan are after Carlos Eduardo in that interview. Additionally, Eduardo's agent when asked about it only said something along the lines of "we'll see" when asked about it.

goal.com has the article
