I wouldn't vote for Borriello. He has been loyal and diligent, clumsy yes, but mainly unlucky. I actually hoped that he would stay, but I do wish him good luck at Roma.

Gilardino was perhaps my favorite (no sarcasm intended) out of these four, but he never lived up to his expectation here at Milan. To think he wasn't a panic buy like Oliveira or Huntelaar. To think that he was regarded as Milan's future.

My vote would go to either Oliveira or Huntelaar. If we could combine them into one (keeping all the strength of course ), we could have some great striker with vision, dribble, shot, sharpness in front of the goal, but their respective weakness were also obvious. and seems to me that both lack mental strength (Gilardino too). Both were frustrating to watch, as if they didn't seem to want to try their best on the pitch and gave up easily.

Well, at least Oliveira scored in his first game with us (against Lazio), and he had a good excuse for his bad performance (his sister) though he only scored 3 for Milan (I think). He did hit a bunch of posts and bars before he was totally dropped to the bench by Ancelotti, which prompted the (in)famous Galliani's 0.5-goal talk.

For Huntelaar, I personally think he was given decent amount of chances (I am not going to argue with anyone who disagrees, it is only my personal opinion, ), but never really delivered. He was at Milan's worst time so he could've made a hero out of himself had he grabbed all the chances. He let the golden opportunity slip, and I think he disappointed me the most.

So my vote goes to Huntelaar, without regard to the cost/value/statistics - just personal feeling does the talking here.

This is going to be an exciting poll. I look forward to the divide.

Shouldn't Javi Moreno be on that list?

imo definitely gilardino.. oliveira was too but at the same time i wasnt expecting too much from him... gilardino on the other hand had an amaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaazing season with parma pure class shown from him even though he did more then oliveira at milan he still came nowhere close to what i expected in terms of how much we paid and the hype around him performances ive seen etc.. biggest upset so far.

my vote is for Gillardino, firstly, he cost an arm and a leg. He was suppose to be Shevas replacement and he arrived at a time when the club really needed good forward, especially after the Calciopol incident. For me he was largely responsible for our poor showing in both SerieA and europe in the following years. His presence did nothing for the team, if anything it brought them down a level.

Oliveira no doubt imo. A panic buy with high expectations. A flop in every respect

Oliveira for me, if we talk about goals: He couldn't scored despite of starting a lot. Gila scored 36 goals in 94 matches, not so shabby, problems were our 1st striker slike Sheva, Pippo, Ronaldo & Pato each had reasons to not give his best for Milan. Gila was not our 1st striker, he just started a lot. Hunter still had the best goal/minutes ratio. Borri played like a locomotive and never thirsty of goals.

If we talk about money, none was really a flop.

- Gila cost 24M, but was sold for 15M. He played 3 years here, means he cost only 3M each year.

- Oli cost 15M (the 2,5M is Vogel's value, a player was nothing better than Brocchi). Zaragoza paid us 2M for a loan, then 10M to buy, though they still own us 6M, this is not a bad deal.

- Borri cost us 9M with half of Di Gennaro (useless until now), but we sold half of him for 2M before that, and now we sell him for 10M. It is still good though it looks like a present

- Hunter: Buy 15M, sell 13-14M, almost like a loan deal.

I voted for Oli, but I'm not hate that deal. It was just too hasty and unlucky.

Someone like Dugary, Javi Moreno, Jose Mari,... worth the word flop more.

mzk57 is an unknown quantity at this point
The next name on this list will be Zlatan Ibrahimovic. Sorry, but this will happen. I can feel it

Anyway, one more name on this list should be Andry $hevchenko-76 (not the real one though). Absolutely showed lack of class and values by deciding to return to San Siro after 2 seasons

And the following information should added to this poll in front of the names of two of the most loyal AC Milan players ever:

- Huntelaar (because of Leonardo)
- Gilardino (because of poor tactics)

I add Lentini,

For me the biggest flop in Milan.

He was a jewel with Torino, Berlusconi paid in Gold for him and after he came he had a car accident,...... and he never retured as he was.

But sorry this is over 10 years now!!!!

That was unlucky because of the accident.

I've just thought about Redondo.

What about Davids , Reizeger , Bogarde , Kluivert , even Baggio at 28 wasn't great for us , Javi Moreno , Jose Mari , Papin wasn't as good we thought he would be either.Lentini there was a real reason for this though. We have had our fair few flops.

sorry about the limited poll, I haven't been a Milan fan long enough to know every single one. Its sad though, Berlusconi spent so much money in the past only for players to flop, its no wonder he is so hesistent to spend big money on players the past few years.
