Official: Mancini to Milan

The transfer has been confirmed by Galliani.

I think this is a good move by us. Mancini is a player who will fit in better at Milan than at Inter, and I think his talent far surpasses that of our other backs (I assume he'll be used as a wing-back). Great job, uncle Fester, and welcome to the right side of the San Siro, Mancini!

Oh and it turns out that we can register him for the CL, as he has not featured in that competition for Inter this season.

That's not correct. He featured for Inter when they played Rubin Kazan away.

It's official now:

L'A.C. Milan comunica di aver acquisito, in prestito con diritto di riscatto della compartecipazione, dall'F.C. Internazionale, le prestazioni sportive del calciatore Amantino Mancini.

I won't trust this news even from official website (acmilan.com). Before he signed a contract, he is still Inter player.

I am a bit worry about his hair.

Great transfer imo, didn't see this one coming.

Always loved him in his Roma days, I hope our Brazilian connection can revive him.

But I don't understand, we loan him now and then we have the option to buy half of his contract? What happens after that? The classic bidding-war between the clubs who co-own the player?

welcome to Mancini, a good alternative to both RB and RW.

hope this is the second time we buy a former Inter player, Brazilian, and move on to win big things like in 2006-2007 (Ronaldo)... he got lost at Inter... they tried to make him a left footed version of Quaresma... and you know where Quaresma is now (you do, right?)

He is what we're trying to turn Abate in to.

Welcome Mancini, hoping what Sant said.

The English official site never ceases to amaze:
"...of the the footballer Amantino Mancini's sports performances."

so, the deal is with the option of buying half of his ownership at 4 million. a bit weird, isn't it? if he performs well this season, then we pay 4 million, and Inter and Milan will co-own Mancini.

In my understanding, if that happens, Milan and Inter would have to sit down and decide for every season (until his contract runs out) where he plays. If that can't be settled, a sealed bidding would take place. What a hassle.

I never forget the goal he scored a few yrs ago , lets hope Leo can 'resurrect' the old Mancini from Roma , he could prove really useful in months to come ..

Forza Milan !

I hope he just remains for the rest of this season and that's it.

Darn you! I laughed for 5 minutes non-stop reading this.

Welcome, Mancini!
