What has our captain said about the transfer? He's been pretty quiet this summer. Is he going to be a puppet, or is he going to stand up and guide his team?

i think for all intensive purposes, Ambro is a co captain with Gattuso, Pirlo, Nesta, and Inzaghi. They said they will be sharing the armband depending on the game.

lol he reminds me of pippo skinny tall lanky scores goales with not much flare but alot of substance. I think he'll do great we have pato for the fancy stuff like goals out of nowhere and running through 4 defenders in the box and him to score everytime he gets a touch on the ball hopeful thinking here lol.. see how he plays in the new season all the best and welcome!

I really doubt that there is correlation between number Boriello took and what management planned. As far as I know, in Milan players are free to choose (to ask the management) the number that are not yet taken (or free). Something like Seedorf did in the past by asking number 10.

Borriello once said that he did not demand the former number of Kaka', saying it is more of a burden but nevertheless he accepted that.

where did you read that? My understanding is that he himself requested that number and he doesn't think of that as a burden. 22 was the number he wore when he played well in Genoa, and also his (or his mother's?) birthday.

at the same time, no. 11 in most recent milan history has failed to bring good luck to whoever wore it. I hope that Huntelaar could put an end to that.

bLOND !-,-! is an unknown quantity at this point
boriello had said that he took number 22 because that is his lucky number, he said that when he wore that number in genoa, he played really well, and that is his birthday i think,... ....

and yes, number 11 is really unlucky: rivaldo, gilardino, boriello

only exception is crespo

I think this is pretty crappy, we should have one single captain with some vice captains.
The question who is not ours to decide but it depends on who does what outside the field.
5 captains is to much, this leads to anarchy. From within those 5 and with others.

I just don't think we have a true unquestionable leader now that Maldini has left..... Nesta would be, but he has been injured and out of the scene!

I agree. One consistent captain is better than 5 who rotate. The thing though is that Rino and Ambro won't be starting every game. Who knows, neither will PIrlo. Nesta would be great, but I wonder whether his Lazio past may count against him. That leaves us with Zambro and Pato, and maybe Flamini who may play a lot of games. None are really captain material, so we're back to square one---Ambro, Rino, Pirlo, Pippo rotating.

I'm looking forward to having the Hunter on board. BUt it is a little sad though that he was in the end a compromise. He clearly wasnt our first choice, nor was he our second. He was basically the best available option. Let's hope he proves management wrong for not rating him higher. I've been dying to see a Dutch striker succeed in Milan ever since Van Basten.
