Ronaldinho
Ronaldinho Gaucho
In his prime, perhaps one of the Greatest players to ever grace the football field. Unplayable for the middle part of this decade, with creativity second to none. Always a smile, he's a player I always rooted for, and wished the best for. However, his style was best suited for Barcelona, where many players run off the ball, constant passing and creativity. With Kaka, he never truly gelled, and while he has shone glimpses of his brilliance, he has never been the player from Barca. Now with Pato and Ibra, he's done some good, and we will always remember him for his game winning goal against Inter Merda. This season, he has not run, and does not look hungry to play. He looks as if he is playing in a Sunday league as opposed to Champions League and Serie A. Even in his chance to come back to the Selecao, he disappointed. He just doesn't have the hunger anymore. With tonight's confirmation (not official, but damn close) that we've signed Antonio Cassano from Sampdoria, in combination with Robinho's interview where he in so many words admitted that Ronaldinho's situation was 'complicated', I think we have seen the last of Ronaldinho in a Milan jersey after the game against Roma. I am not the sentimental type, but some part of me hopes Ronaldinho can play against Roma and show some magic before leaving the continent of Europe forever..... R10 |

Its an embarrassment. At just 30 he is dead. He should learn some lesson from Del Piero & Totti. Those two are playing comfortably & winning matches, this guy just can't run ............

He isn't dead and I am sure he could still play at last season's level.
The problem with Ronni is his lack of stability and also lack of team's defensive balance. His occasional brilliance is not worth risking the team's defensive chemistry... Unless he can learn to play behind the strikers.

yeah he is definitely not dead, its just that this team the way its shaped at the moment is not for him. If he is on the pitch you need to sacrifice someone to defend for him. The man is still a genius and a magician on the park but with these tactics and his lack of CONSTANT work rate, the only place for him is the bench.
but im sure he can still be useful, if he is not stubborn.

do you guys reckon the 8 Million Euro tag on Ronaldinho is to force Gremio to give us a player in return? namely, Mario Fernandes?

I doubt it personally. I think we just want to try and milk what we can from dinho leaving. I think our mentality is why let him go for free if he's under contract.

I think it is more like a strategic gesture in response to Ronaldinho and his brother's demand of getting paid to leave (and without transfer fee). In the end, probably he would still leave for free, but they won't get extra million still.
We shall see. I hope that you are right though. We can use some money.

AC Milan sent Dinho to the pitch on 88 mins, 90 mins etc.
It is a gesture to force him leave. Dinho is not a rookie, he is the Champion. It is the tactics of AC Milan that we need more energetic players and we cannot scarifice Pirlo, Seedorf .......... |

Ronaldinho was one of the best players of all time. He won Champions League, and Fifa World Player of Year twice. He also won the World Cup. He was phenomenal, he was pure magic.
However, when he fell off, he really fell off. He was never able to regain his intensity level, and for much of the time with Milan, he played with his back to goal, pinned to the left side line, and never got in the game to make a difference. He scored the winner vs Inter, and showed glimpses of perfection, but all in all, he's not what we need anymore. We already have an older team, and we need to make our transition. The goal was for him to come and replace Kaka. I truly believe that. It never happened, we must move on, and so should he. I don't think he will play in the World Cup 2014 Brazil. I wish him only the best, how can you not to someone who always smiles Quite simply, I'm ready for a new dynasty, one without Ronaldinho, and instead, hopefully with Ibra, Pato, Robinho, Boateng, Flamini, Lazzari, Coentrao, T. Silva, Abate, and maybe even Cassano! Forza Milan! Goodluck Ronaldinho! |

Game 1 2010-11
Dinho looked phenom in the first game. The whole team was clicking. It was a clinic, really. It got to the point that everybody was doing tricks and showing off. It was great.
Esp with Dinho. Left hand side, he does his "snake", wraps the ball around, drives to the goal line, brings his right leg behind his left and corners the ball beautifully onto Borriello's chest. Can't remember who scores on that play but I really thought Dinho was BACK. Sorry to see him like this and sorry to see him go. |
