Look, it's not the end of the world if someone wants a second opinion about his medical condition. Although, in the end of the day, one must weight differing opinions according to their quality and reputation. And objectively speaking, an opinion from Milan's medical team and Prof. Martens, who is arguably the most reputable sports physician in Europe if not the world, would weight more than that of any doctor from anywhere, let alone Brazil.

The only thing that pisses me off, this is also because I myself am a doctor, is the fact that a doctor from Brazil is talking trash about Milan's doctors. In our profession, there are plenty of differing views by different people, but we dont go around slamming other people's opinions and brag about our own. There should be enough professional courtesy given to Milan's doctors. ANd for that alone, I feel the Brazil doctor shows very very poor class, and I for one would not believe in what he has to say.

exactly, that Doctor should have kept his mouth shut, if you got nothing good to say then don't say anything, specially in his situation..anyways, let's hope Ronnie gets better sooner than later

Calm down dude. Just like eltomas2 said, perhaps the press twisted the words.

Ronnie recovery delayed again
Monday 10 September, 2007
The mystery surrounding Milan hitman Ronaldo’s injury has deepened with news that he may be sidelined for another month.

When the Selecao star reported a pain in his thigh on July 31, it was expected that he would return to action in time for the start of the campaign.

However, Ronaldo’s recovery has been painfully slow, prompting him to consult the national side’s doctor in Brazil, who criticised his Milan counterparts for their treatment of his complaint.

While Italian doctors believed that Ronaldo’s injury was a mere strain, it has now been revealed to be a much more serious rupture.

The Diavolo medical team now seem willing to admit that they initially made an error in their diagnosis, but they are demanding that the ex-Inter man return to Milanello.

The saga may yet turn ugly if the 30-year-old continues to snub his club’s request and boss Carlo Ancelotti’s assertion that Ronaldo would be fit for the September 15 clash with Siena looks increasingly far-fetched.

Latest estimates suggest that the No 99 will need at least another month to get over his injury woes and could return for Week 7’s trip to the Stadio Olimpico to face Lazio.

damn...it's not like I doubted this will happen. I only wished I would be wrong

I do believe that it's not a surprise how Ronaldo acts: we knew very well what his behavior is always disconcerting.
The alarm bell about injuries had ringed last season aloud, and all the world knows our players aren't so young, so they are under a big risk constantly, just for their age.

I truely thought that our market was a little better of an unripe duck, a brother survivor from a surgical operation and another grandpa especially after Oliveira 22 mil. €. disaster.

Now it is proved our managers are very far from perfection: they should admit it, but, I do bet everything you want, it's impossible they do it: for sure, they'll keep on saying R9 is our best purchase for this season and the other teams don't want to sell... bla bla. The truth is that Milan don't want to open the pocket, except for Oliveira only hoping that De Assis shoves R10 to AC (for free!!!! obviously)
And it's all ok, don't you think?

ps.: I'm very angry, so I apologize but my blood is hot and this R9's soap opera makes me furious

Jeen Pierre Meersseman, quali errori avete commesso?

-Sicuramente mercoledi''

E in campo?

This situation is getting more and more strange every day. What is the truth surrounding his "mystery" injury? I would really like some clear answers from Milan regarding this. We need Ronaldo if we should be able to win the Serie A, and I don't like it when things like these are played down.

This is the one thing I don't understand..............He is injured, fine. It can happen to anyone, but what is he doing in Brazil????? They should bring him back immediately and let him recover in Milanello just like everyone else.

not to be a fanboy or anything but let's wait till the facts come out ...then even I will join in the bashing....at present though I am glad that he cares soooo much about playing and not sitting and making money.. it's something that you'd expect from gattuso

Well well well....what can I say....???

Milanlab are capable of a misdiagnosis once every "blue" moon...and Ronnie´s reaction to me, isnt all that bad...and in truth, its good that he went, as the injury is obviously more serious than first thought.

Ok, so he is out for a month....maybe we can recall Oliveira?

One last point: It seems Berlu is resigned to us playing with one out and out striker, hence the club´s decision not to go for another in the transfer window....Gila, R99, Pippo, and in Jan, Pato is way more than enough for a "single" striker formation.

So, because of his injury, we have Pippo, and Gila "alone" until Oct? Hmmm...doesnt seem like the end of the world for me...it just means our midfield and defense will have to play very very very very well....and hopefully now Gorky will get a run...?

no point in asking questions now... lets just give him a month or 2 and hope he can come back fit and eager to play and score alot. He might be the 'thing' to secure 4th spot for us at the end of the season.

(sarcasm, sarcasm...)
