Actually, the young German is quite good...though a little overrated...I think the Germans, who have been starved of real talent lately, are grabbing at straws, though honestly he has the potential to be a really good player.

I think that signing a superstar is something Milan must do, after the way the season ended. It also has to be a player of use to the side, the striking line up is shaping up well, the defence is great but maybe a little old, and the midfield is striking.

It is difficult to see which world superstars are available at the moment or which would be value for money, Beckham, Zidane and Figo are all too old (And in the case of Beckham not world class), Ronaldinho? Ł50m at least ditto Adriano, Lampard and Robben play for Chelsea so there's no point talking terms with them, Stevie Gerrard is going no where.

The only two I can think of is Buffon or Ballack, both have the sufficient stauture and could be aquired for Ł20 - Ł25m I think, my preference would be for Ballack.

You're not a Milanfan,
and youäre comments are'nt very smart either :s

First of all, we do have very classy subs on the midfield.
Why buy a player like Hleb to warm the bench ?, when we already got
Rui and Ambrosini there. Okay Rui's up the years, but hes still more then
a good sub for Káka. Surely Hleb and Pizarro are great players and good preospects for the future, but I think they'll develope better in other clubs.
And Gillardino is really world-class, already !, and will probably develope ven more hopefully playing in Milan and CL next year. And about the signings last years ? Kaka 3 years ago, Nesta and Stam after that. The Crespo loan. That's enough for me with probably Gilardino coming now.
Why buy hyper-expensive players like Ronaldo and Ronaldinho when we already posses great players. Sure Ronaldinho is a tremendous player, but would you like either him or Káka to sit on the bench ? Ancelotti won't play
with two offensive forces on the midfield...

And that we are Siena class without Sheva and Káka ? That´s
pure nonsense.

And about Stam, Okay his over the 30, and he don't have the speed anymore.
But there are very few in the world which are so good physical and is so hard to pass. And in the CL he was our best defender, having a very good constant form. Only in the league he were very inconstant.

And for sure Berlusconi isn't 5-6 times as rich as Abramovich, as Roman is climbing on the worlds richest persons list now on hte way entering the top 20. I don't know where Silvio is oin the list but hes surely not 5-6 times richer because then he would be nr.1

Maybe I missed to comment something now, but still I think I got the most..

/SMF

Im not a big fan of signing superstar after superstar. We need both, the Shevas and Kakas, and the Gattusos and Seedorfs (both very good players performing their role, not superstars).

For example, I love what Porto did this summer buying Lucho Gonzalez and Lisandro Lopez, 2 of the top young players from Argentina. I wouldnt be surprised if after playing for Porto they jump to the "Big Leagues". Lucho Gonzalez has some press already and many know him because his recent play for the Argentina National Team, but Lopez has all the talent to be a headache for any defence as well.
And now they added a 17 years old brazilian that goes by the name Anderson. They are doing their homework.

My point is, we should buy some of this players, which are young and loaded with potential, that at the same time arent expensive ( Not for us, not for a Serie A team).

BTW, Im lazy to find out, is Porto playing next UCL?

Do you know ? Milan only sign a surely great-wellknown player.
Milan won't gamble to sign someone outside the criteria.
Kaka? Well, he is great in his country and at first can be considered a great asset,
But he became more than Ancelotti's expected, he is magnificient.
