I dont think Rez or anyone else should be waiting for the correct answer, it would be simple as in if the user enters an incorrect answer the registration would fail unless they put in a correct answer. The question/answer would be an addition to the image string, if one or the other is incorrect then the user cannot register.

I personally dont know how these spammers work but I'm sure they wont be able to crack the answer unless they actually physically input the answer. However the latter part of your post is a good idea - I have seen it be used in other forums where users must be approved before they can start posting.

THis is what I would suggfest:

When you see a spam, (it's just easy to tell from the title), ignore it. THe mod will take care of it within the shortest period of time.

Spam is part of the life of a forum; just like disease is part of the life. There is no way you can stop it; but we are doing the best we can to stop the disease (i.e., spam) from spreading.

Now i know i'm not that popular

So i guess it's a teeny glitch somewhere. Does anyone else have this too?

When you open you inbox how many messages do you really have lol?

Jim, thats a bug that pops up once in a while, personally I never understood why.

Try this method:
Go to your PM pages http://www.milanmania.com/forums/private.php? click beside any one of your PMs that you have already read, go to the bottom of the list and from the 'move to folder' drop down menu choose 'mark as unread' and see if that count goes away.
