Fassone: "Dear Pallotta, we are ready for a confrontation on the balance sheets of Milan and Roma."
Fassone: "We are stunned by the style and the unusual fact that a club attacks another one in such a direct method."
Fassone: "Morever, how many inaccuracies have you [Pallotta] mentioned?"
Fassone: "He said that Milan's ownership does not have the money to buy the club when everybody knows that any operation of this entity is usually done with a financial leverage."
Fassone: "Secondly, he spoke of completely wrong figures. Everyone knows that the fund money which Pallotta refers to and which is from the Elliott fund to finance the acquisition of Milan, is €180m out of a total value of €740m."
Fassone: "I don't know what does he refer to when he said 'they will pay for the consequences', not sure if this is a threat."
Fassone: "We issued a bond of €50m which is totally destined to finance our summer transfer campaign."
Fassone: "We are currently well below the consumption of this bond. There are multi-year plans that, in addition to having submitted our financial plans"

On Palotta's comments......i gotta say, he sounds like an uneducated, unintelligent, tough guy "wanna-be".
If he really has doubts about Milan's sustainability, there are different ways to talk about it. There are different platforms than a stupid SeriousXM radio show. What an unprofessional idiot.

Fassone has already said one thing that completely squashes Palotta like the cockroach that he is....."I am ready to compare Milan's and Roma's balance sheets"! Period. That's all the response Palotta needs. Milan at the very worst in its history, these past few years, still had more revenue than Roma (at one of its highest). Once we are back in the CL and get some big names, we will dworf Roma's revenue like we used to.

Palotta probably thought that his words were not going to come out. He thought he is on that SeriousXM show and he could act like he knows it all, like a big shot, and none of it was going to come back to Europe. He was wrong, and now Fassone is going to make him look like an idiot. Difference is....Fassone will do it with class.

Fassone: "[The plan] was presented to UEFA under a voluntary agreement. Everyone knows it, it is public and can be seen by Pallotta."
Fassone: "Then the threats, if they were really threats, have been sent back to their sender [Pallotta]."
Fassone: "I don't know how can he think that Milan's salaries can tomorrow be equal to the revenues."
Fassone: "Our plan foresee that all the salaries remain on the threshold that is 50%-60% of the club's revenues."
Fassone: "The level of debt of the club is €120m. Compared to club revenues it is extraordinary and is better than that of Roma."

Eliott loaned 180m and is serving as collateral for another 128€m if the bond fails which isn't gonna happen.

Does it mean our transfer budget left is a lot more than what AS Roma worth?
Why dont we just buy AS Roma and make them Milan C or something

Interesting to see how quick Fassone is to dismiss questions over the validity of the project. I understand it, we can't afford doubts about our ability to pay, but then to metaphorically "b**** slap" Palotta in public like this is a very strong stance.

I must say, Fassone's deadly. He destroyed Raiola earlier this summer and he seems to have no qualms in doing the same to Palotta.

Only thing is it's important to try and avoid confrontation if possible.

On SeriousXM, isn't it a reasonably well known platform? I swear the guys from BeyondThePitch used to partner with it?

Dev, SeriousXM is a very well known platform. But it doesn't erase the fact that some of the shows on there seem like they are created in someone's garage. Big Grin Now, I think the show he talked to is reputable and has many stars and names interviewed on it...but it's still not the same as talking to sky on TV or ESPN or something. My point was that if he wanted to discuss Milan's owners, there are other more reputable platforms than calling into a radio show and acting so unprofessionally. He's already appoligized for it today, and as I said, I really think that he thought this wasn't going to get out. He thought he was talking to another radio show tjat doesn't get the popularity of other platforms and acted like he knew everything and anything. Like a big shot. Attacking fellow owners and managers as if he is on the street or something.

I am glad Fassone shut him up nicely, and by the looks of it, so did Sabatini. In that interview Palotta comes across as someone who knows very little about football but just has the money and status to own a club. As a matter of fact, that's probably exactly what it is.
