I agree with you. I was surprised that my praise for Ambrosini was overwhelmed by so much criticism. Happy to get somebody to side with.
I thought Ambrosini did a very decent job in this game; he assumed the role of playmaker when Seedorf was totally a liability. In the team's most difficult game, he stepped up and led the team as a great captain.
As for MoTM, for me, it has to be shared between Amelia and El Shaarawy. Maybe Amelia has some edge, after all, without him, we would have been 2 or 3 goals down easily and wouldn't need to even dream of coming back. The conceded goal wasn't his fault either.
