I'm opening up the game thread (my first, I think ) mostly so I can post this news from Gazzetta:

ANDREA PIRLO FITNESS REPORT
4/13/2005 MILANO - Andrea Pirlo picked up an injury to his left knee in the game against Inter. The midfielder had treatment on Thursday morning and his situation will be evaluated again on Friday. Got this off the official site, I just hope we can at least play consistent and get a good result, geraro is back so that helps, hopefully darsloo is fit and can take Pirlo’s position. Now our players need a break, 3 matches in a week is a lot, look at juve’s match against Liverpool they looked very ordinary!

Vinesh, you took the words from my fingertips!
I do hope that Dhorasso is fit, as he would make a nice addition to the middle, with Rino, Seedorf and Kaka. Unfortunately I wont see this match live, as ESPN Int are showing the stupid zebras instead...though to be honest, that match will probably be more exciting from a neutral perspective, with the attacking style that Lecce use, and the history and animosity between Juve and Zeman. I do think Milan will win this fixture, and look forward to reading the reports of another wonderful performance from Stam and Nesta, while this match is one in which I think Kaka will score. I look for a 2-3 goal win, while I doubt Siena will breach our defence Siena 0, Milan 3 (Kaka, Sheva, Dhorasso{if fit} or Seedorf with a long range cracker)

Shevchenko picked up a training injury and may not play, as a precautionary measure. If that's the case, Ancelotti is thinking about using the Christmas tree with Crespo as the lone striker (neither Inzaghi nor JDT have been called up), but he's not saying for sure. Kaladze will play, which means one of Nesta, Stam or Maldini will get a rest, unless Stam replaces Cafu.

Here are the remaining fixtures after this weekend's matches.
20/4 Milan - Chievo Juve - Inter 24/4 Milan - Parma Lazio - Juve 1/5 Fiorentina - Milan Juve - Bologna 8/5 Milan - Juve 15/5 Lecce - Milan Juve - Parma 22/5 Milan - Palermo Livorno - Juve 29/5 Udinese - Milan Juve - Cagliari Hope we might have it wrapped up before the last game of the season, i wouldn't want to win away to Udinese or rely on Cagliari getting a result against Juve. Both teams have similarly difficult run-ins, so it'll be close.

First Pirlo then Sheva...please no more Anyway the Christmas tree is perhaps a better solution, especially when Pirlo is absent. FORZA MILAN! 3 pts is a must! |
