I disagree, I think few players would match Pulisic number for us. Chukwueze is not one of them.

Not really sure if Milan will ever as a team or as team culture knows player development, Lazetic could be latest waste follow many like Jungdal, Kerkez, etc etc. This team needs many more like Kalulu, not just 1 or 2, to convince me otherwise.

I think for every 10 young players bought by big clubs (where there is pressure to win or be at the top), if 1 succeeds, than it's good. I don't find it weird that Lazetic turned out to be a bust. Although, he may be a solid player in his late 20s for example.
I am talking about players like Kalulu and Lazetic. Ones that had not played any senior football before we brought them (or very very limited exposure to senior football). We seem to be after another one in Popovic now.
I think it's unfair and unrealistic to expect a Kalulu type more often then every few years, if that.
I watched Jungdal play the other day in the Copa Italia against Roma. He seemed mature and decent for a 21 year old. Not sure how much of a better job in development we could have done. Let's be honest, a club like Milan can't rely on Jungdal as a GK.
The only problem I have with some of these cases is that we didn't benefit financially from developing these guys and "selling" them on. Jungdal for example left for free.

I think it would be very helpful if we can have a second team that plays in Serie B or C to help develop our own players. There is a significant gap between the premievera vs the first team right now in terms of players getting quality play time, competition and coaching to further development. Up to this point, a lot of these players get loaned out to random clubs year after year, praying they can be used right and develop correctly. If we have our own development team, that would help bridge that gap. Sort of like a minor league baseball team in America or the NBA G league

It all depends on where he is coming from. Usually players coming from traditional top footballing nations tends to do better. Kerkez was mistake. Jungdal is starter now in Cremonese but still our primavera have improved much than it was 4-5 yrs back.

Good deal imo but at wrong club. He has a good future and already racked up 40+ appearance in Serie A for a 20 yr old youngster which is a rare feat in Italy

This would be an incredible signing. He's having a great season and has improved every year for a couple years now. With that said, with Bayern and Tottenham in the race, I highly doubt we could land him. As a matter of fact, new reports are now saying Bayern is willing to pay 25m in cash + some bonuses.
Anyway, as good as this would have been, I have never been in favor of big January spending. It always seems to be spending to cover short term problems, which is sometimes necessary...BUT, in our current situation, I don't think we need anyone. Realistically, the Scudetto is gone. We can get back into it with a string if wins, but if that happens then the current squad can carry on. Had top 4 been in jeopardy, then i wouod have said yes, let's spend where needed. But honestly, even with this current squad and Pioli's tactics, top 4 seems to be a lock. I think it's a testament to how strong the squad is. I think this shows that the work done in the summer was good. The squad in general is much better then last year. Despite injuries, setbacks tactically and mentally, we are still able to handle "bottom table" sides. Obviously, it also helps that Napoli and the Roman sides are a shitshow.
