For the year end 2015, their OI was a huge 115 billion and net profits over 16 billion.

So it's not like this group won't have money. Willingness to invest is something different.

EDIT: By the way, I'm not sure if those numbers are in Yuan or Dollars or Euros. I want to say that it's probably Yuan as that would be way too big of a number in Euros I think. Either way, it's still a lot of money that just this one group works with. I believe if you convert it to Euros, their net profits turn out to be somewhere around 2.2 Billion Euros for 2015.

Apparently the Chinese government pushed hard for this deal to still go through when the original consortium collapsed. Sounds like we'll be seeing a far more ambitious Milan in the future then.

MilanoFinanza.it tried to shed light on the sale of Milan, proposing a profile of Sino-Europe Changxin Sports Investment Management Co., the company that bought the Rossoneri. It is a private person, but among its investors is a fund that has the Chinese government as a shareholder. Sino-Europe Sport also is a vehicle created to accelerate the sports investment from the Chinese side on the old continent. Behind the operation there is a Chinese state fund and it is Haixia Capital, a company controlled by the state that deals with infrastructure investment in Fujian. At the head of Haixia Capital's Lu Bo, who in his career has been involved in Chinese state investment: not only Haixia, but also SDIC, State Development & Investment Corporation. There is uncertainty as to the mode of payment. In Italy claim that the first tranche will be poured at the time of the preliminary agreement, while a Chinese source confirms that payment will come in two tranches, the first two weeks, the second in September. The rest instead in November.(MilanoFinanza.it)

It is being said that there were some disagreements with the old investor group regarding the new management structure of the club. Last week it was also reported that Galliani and Gancikoff were in disagreement over player signings.

Makes me think how powerful is Galliani? He has a disagreement with a guy and bam, he is off the deal. Anyhow, it is being said that there is no clarity about whether Galliani will remain at the club. My guess is that he will weasel his way in. No way is he going to leave with so much cash in the kitty.
