1 year loan from Chelsea, no option but right of first refusal meaning we can negotiate and sign him before any other team, I guess?

Yeah I guess, but you have to wonder how many minutes he will get... Another signing that makes little to no sense.

The loan fee rises to 1 milion from an initial 200k the lesser minutes he gets. Not really if true or if I am reading it right. Any way if his position is Montolivo's I doubt our captain is being dropped any time soon. No Coppa games for a while and no Europe either.

Wow, we really are a feeder club to Chelsea.

I remember that van Ginkel had a similar clause.

Montella: "He's getting to a good condition and you can see that he has great potential. If I could, I'd buy him."

We sign a player on a 1 year loan and almost November the coach says "He's getting to a good condition"

Not that I disagree with you in that I don't see any point in him coming, but I understood Montella's comment being more in relation to match sharpness, bearing in mind that Pasalic was injured for a very long time.

I really wonder why Chelsea always treats us like their feeder club: dry loan, incentive for playing the loanee as well. First van Ginkel, now Pasalic. WTF? Not even Real Madrid would do that to us. Angry

Galliani should be publicly shamed for such humiliating deals.

I thought he had a very decent game. Not sure if it was because we played Pescara; still, he has good skills and maybe Montella will use him more often.

If we played him enough games, I heard that Chelsea would give us a deep discount. O

He played not bad but it can bee seen that he still needs time, he is still recovering to gain full match fitness. A good option for Montella IMO. Glad to see Montella give him enoguh minutes to play.
