Honestly, Arsenal does not need or want to sell Cesc. I think the reason why Cesc sat out the preseason is a way for Wenger to tell Cesc to smarten up and shut up or else you will end up sitting for the rest of the season.
Even if Cesc is for sale, Arsenal would want to sell him now instead of waiting till late Aug, since they actually need to fine a replacement. I like to have faith in Galli and Co, but to hope for a bargain this year is pretty hard, since all the right players for Milan are unavailable. Unlike last year, where Sao Paolo is selling Hernanes, Barca is looking to offload Ibra, Juve wanting to part with Diego and City is auctioning Robinho as he does not want to return to Man City. Even though Robinho came for 18 mil, I thought it was a bit over price since he did not settle well in Europe and wanted to play in Brazil. I think if MGT does not want to gamble on an up and coming player, then should sign players who are between 25 to 28, as players that age are really what they are and you won't be paying for potential. Thus if someone is 45 mil, then he must be WC and is an already a winner. One last thing, I am just stating the truth about Slowdorf, hahaha. @fLame ,Galatasaray paid 6.75 m euros for his half to Montevideo Wanderers, also considering Lazio got Cana for his other half.
i like Terim's football mentality, his attacking pressing was nice vs inter. They dominated the game vs inter, but they lacked last touch, they also beat Liverpool 3-0. They also loaned Felipe Melo with option to buy at 13 m euros. 2 m euros for loan. Terim yesterday said that Real wanted 20 m euros for Lass Diarra, then they gave up and cancelled the meeting with his agent. Cuz he is very expensive. They can sign Eboue from Arsenal as well... i think that their main needs is Suarez typee of finisher, maybe a top class defender. Regarding PSG, They got a very good goalie in Sirugu, though he conceded some stupid goals last season. He is a bargain for 3.5 m euros. However same cant be said about Sissoko or Menez. Sissoko is in decline and injury prone. Menez is trouble maker and inconsistent player. Montolivo or Aquilani? off course Aquilani, he is much better player than Montolivo. more suited to LCM than him. Yet he was injury prone with Roma and Liverpool. His passing and movement is very good. Would be better signing than Montolivo. loan Aquilani with option to buy would be great move.

i dont think any serious club would go for aquliani,maybe fiorentina if they loose montolivo..even totti himself said that theres nth special about this guy,he was never a starter for the national like montolivo, liverpool have been trying to get rid of him 2 years now,not with gr8 success since nobody is willing to pay for him,not even juve that pay like idiots, he just had one good season with roma nth speciaal and thats all.
montolivo is generally far better, but he is not as compatible as aquliani is, but again allegri said he would love to have montolivo. i would be dissapointed if we got aquliani instead, which i am sure we wont, but theres a chance we'll see them both if galiani cant hit the real deal with Mr X. |
