No, I think that's not what he means. If Messi is suddenly available for 40M, I bet they'd take him too. It's only a matter of valuation; only a few players worth more than 25M in Galliani's minds.

Why the hell does a team need 6 Strikers, all World Class (besides Balotelli), and also (2) wingers who have also played forward in their career.

And, more importantly, why would we buy the worst Striker of the group? We have more than enough capable strikers, and given we're being cheap about our midfield, I wouldn't want €1 spent on a striker until we have at least (2) midfielders. Hamsik & Fabregas (60M), and the team is set. We can even sell Bonera, Flamini, Cassano, or loan Paloschi to help out.

I really don't want to touch our stike force. Attention on midfield only! But if I had to choose between Baloteli andCassano, I'd go with the former...

Galiani is right sanchez and pastore are not suddently worth 40mil!As much as we like them(personally pastore) theres no excuse for such a prize,they've almost done nth yet, they're not champions or even that consistent.

fabregas although for example is a different story, 40mil(of course no sportsman should cost that much, its so unethical, considering people dying of malnutricion,not trying to be melo here but anyway..) for him is fair enough.i dont get barca,they pay 38 for sanchez and hesitate 45 for fabregas(i am not sure how much they need them to be honest), they just hope fabregas will force himself out,with his behavour, maybe.but he wouldnt do it for any other team...

Unless the player is the real Messi and CR7 it is really stupid for Mian to even look for an attacker. I am still hoping for the capture of Honda and Hernanes by late August and Slowdorf leaving in Jan to make ways for Ganso.

If there is one area Barca should spend big on, that area should be in defense. For a while, I really thought Barca will get both Sanchez and Zapata and thank gosh, that didnt happen.

Yes you make some interesting points here. It is certainly unethical to pay that much for a player, esp for those who are not champions (Sanchez, Pastore). I would probably like to see more *trades* than buying and selling as I think throwing aroudn that kind of cash is actually bankrupting all teams as they have to loan the money to buy the players.

In a free market it's not up to us to determine the prices of players, however, this is not a free market. The world economy is based off of a debt system, and all banks, govt's & soccer teams are up to the eyeballs in debt. So in my opinion it's sort of distorted in terms of the market.
