But we won't be reaping anytime soon though, this Barcelona smooth passing style is a result of years and years of hard work back to the days of Cruyff.

On the mercato front, Montolivo's agent confirmed that the negotiation between the two clubs is officially underway. I know it's like picking out the lesser of two evils but supposed that they come in relatively the same prices, which one do you guys prefer, Montolivo or Aquilani?

Montolivo for me. Neither will raise our team to another level, but I think Montolivo's the better all round player, and the one more likely to fit Allegri's ideas better. Oh and he's a year younger I guess.

Yeah me too. Plus he's way less prone to injury too.

I seriously doubt it. There must be something in this Sharawy kid that makes our coaches opted for him instead of Merkel to be included into the first team roster.

Aquilani is a much more talented player than Montolivo. Becouse of injuries he hasnt reached his very high potential. But IF he could stay injury free more or less I see in him a very good midfielder who could be really important for us. Back in his Roma days he played some fantastic games in CL and Serie A, but those damn injuries...
I really hope we sign him. But offcourse he will not be our BIG signing, I still expect someone like Ganso/Lucas to go with him, be it now or in januari.

I'm with you.

Aquilani started as a DM, so I think he can defend better than Montolivo. He is also better at attacking with shoots and one-two passes. Montolivo can pass better but not much.

About injuries, we have a super injury-prone name Ambrosini in our team. From 2001 to 2006 he made friend with all the nurses in Milan hospitals, IMO Big Grin But since his comeback in 2007, he helped Milan won CL and has been an important player for us. Aquilani had an injury-free season with Juventus. Maybe his condition is stabilized.
Aqualani is 27 and has been injury prone for 10 year's.Monty you know what bring them both , as someone said well not exactly , put them in a blender make the 2 one player and we'll be okay..His name will be Aqualivo or Montolani.

I just downloaded the AC Milan fantasy manager app.My budget 90 million haha lets see how I do.

Hahaha I agree I think Merkel's better anyways...
Pato is injured all thhe time, do Milan really need someone who will is like him in midfield.
I aslo don't see the point in giving away a young talented player for a season , and then scramble to buy overrated players to pretend he was MR X!!!
I agree that Aquilani is more talented, but obviously too injury prone. Monto is a safer bet and it appears Allegri likes Monto a lot, which indicates that coach thinks he's a better fit for his system. If between the two, I'm hoping for Monto.
BTW - Let's end the bastion talk as well:

As much as I've been saying that there is virtually no chance of Cesc coming here, the Bastion rumors were even more ridiculous. Why would the top (and richest) team in Germany want to sell one of their best young German players?!? At least the Cesc rumors had his unhappiness at Arsenal on their side.
I am sure if Milan is willing to pay 45 mil, Bastion will be in Beijing now.
Bastion???

About Merkel, as talented as he is, he is not a player who can play left CM regularly at the moment especially seeing he is also not a player who can play our game.
