Guess you are right in that point. We agree to disagree, IMO Montella is doing a great job.
I just really hope that the nightmare process of selling the club finally comes to an end the day after tomorrow.
It's your right people to be satisfied with average and to continue to support average. But don't forget fact ,those kind of "supporters" are one of the reasons why club stands where it stands at this point.
I guess that some of us are satisfied with situation where Milan stands last 5 years and doesen't wants to change anything.
About Montela. I gave you pure facts ,and in response - there are no arguments but just some jibber jabber. No problem ,that's also your right.
About Mati Fernandez . There was another choice. It was that guy (I forgot name) or Matigol. Than Montela decided to gain Matigol (even urged him to decline offer from Cagliari with words "Decline them I will arange you move to Milan) ,no matter he was on international dutu and unavailable to go on medicals. Btw ,that injury he got at that time...well ,we all know... after that injury (2 or so months) he was 80% time injured and 19% time he gave catastrophic performances since he came to Milan. I guess Montela knows... he have knowledge... No surprise he wants Ljajic to replace Deulofeu if he can't be kept (one more he fancy from Viola time)...

He doesn't have to start every game and play for 90 minutes. He will have ups and downs and needs to be protected. This is exactly what Montella is doing while still playing him for a lot of minutes. We all know (including Locatelli and everyone in and around the club) that Locatelli is the future and not Sosa/Mati. Just because they are playing a bit more than him now doesn't change that fact nor does it hinder his development.

That post is so far away from reality and filled with all kinds of hatred towards Montella (for all sorts of reasons...it's like he took anything that happened this season and pinned it on Montella's back so he can slay him).....that it's better to just agree to disagree and move on. tbh i would've preferred to sign nobody and used the 7.5m from sosa, 10m from lapa + 8.5m from gomez to sign a quality young midfielder like gagliardini. instead, montella approved the purchase of 3 (mostly) benchwarmers which is a sign of short-sightedness and lack of top level experience. we've barely used gomez and could've easily retained petagna/matri as backup striker and mauri as backup midfielder.
also, i disagree about locatelli. he was performing at an incredibly high level when he was given 90 mins regularly in the first part of the season but has regressed ever since he's received partial minutes because sosa's been the preferred choice. young players need as much game time as possible to make up for their lack of experience and now he's fighting sosa for his place. locatelli even sounded slightly disgruntled in a recent interview on the matter.
i like montella and think he's doing a good job but given he's barely won anything as a manager or coach so how can we expect top level players to respect him and want to play for him? mancini on the other hand has won far more as both coach and player (even reaching cl final with sampdoria) so players respect him.

Mancini's wins aren't that impressive. He won in Italy when Juve was in Serie B and Milan was powerless. He had no competition. City? He had an unlimited budget, so let's stop there. Seond spell at Inter, he signed a whole new starting 11. Everyone according to his liking. He even threatened to leave if Fassone didn't sign Kondogbia like a little bitch. And what exactly did he achieve with that team that HE HIMSELF built? 4th place in a weak ass Serie A. But yes, he's won titles and Montella hasn't.
You are talking as if Montella had much say in the Gomez signing. Galliani went to Ibiza where he partied with Raiola and that other former Catania crooked agent that's been banned from football. He is the one thag recommended Gomez to Galliani, not Montella. If you think even for one second that Montella had any say in that deal than you are completely wrong. This was a "dirty" deal made between agents so that everyone can make some commission money. A typical Galliani deal.
Let's stop pinning everything on Montella. We all know how much power and say Milan coaches have under Galliani. I am sure Montella would have loved a different midfielder, as all of us would have. But let's not forget the position we were in last summer.
I don't think Montella is the be all end all. But he has deserved the opportunity to stay for one more season (unless things go completely wrong in the last 7 games). The options to replace him aren't exactly exciting, and that has to be taken into account as well.

Can any of you guys seriously imagine Montela leads Milan into 1/4 or higher in CL? Or challenging Serie A title? Wining it... whatever... (That's where we strive. Aparently.) With his "game managing"? Come on ,almost every single game there are some questionable or controversal substitutions or decisions or... Of course it will not every time cost much against opponents like Empoli or Crotone ,but in serious football ,like CL...we saw (just take last few years) good examples how just one ,single ,bad coach decision can dramaticly cost team and destroy everything. Of course ,all coaches makes mistakes... Diffeence is.. some of them makes few in entire season and some of them makes them every single game ,over and over and over and all over again...
So ,better change him now.

This debate is actually funny. because the last coach who probably made good substitutions was Carlo Ancelotti.
And he also probably was the only coach who had a say in what players he would like.
Let's not forget, Allegri was not a World Class coach, nor a World Class player, Hell.. even Serie A fans knew nothing about him. yet he was given a chance. and look at him now :-)
Allegri hadn't won anything when he came to Milan, look where he is now. Stop using that nonsense argument that a coach like Montella can't attract good players. We had Ibrahimovic when Allegri was the coach. Give the man a chance in a solid and stable team, then you can judge him.
And where is Allegri now? Common clown ,nothing more... Conquering Serie A without any real competition? One trip into CL final... Wasted opportunity for another because of his own stupidity against Bayern... Serious coach with Jube which Allegri had/have at disposal would take at least one CL.

I have a feeling that if, very big IF obviously, we do return to the heights of CL contention Montella won't be the coach. It doesn't matter if we rate him or not. That kind of CL wanting ownership will go after a higher profile coach anyway, no matter what Montella is or is not.
