I think I'd prefer Keita over most our targets at the moment, other than of course Douglas Costa who remains a dream for all of us IMO. He's definitely a target that if we try hard enough to purchase, I think we can get it done, but there has been little to no articles or anything linking us.
Keita reminds me of a young C.Ronaldo IMO. He's a bit selfish on the ball, he's got quick feet and very explosive runner with some decent finishing technique. He has the potential mold to become a very similar player. Again, the direct comparison is a bit foggy but I'm just trying to give my evaluation on him, specifically the things I like.
Buying Conti will be a step sideways financially IMO, his arrival would almost be a guarantee in my eyes that DS is gone. If we get 20m for DS and we buy Conti for the same price, I'm happy. He's a couple of years younger and he had a phenomenal year @ Atalanta.
As far as strikers go, we're linked with Aubameyang, Belotti, Morata & Diego Costa right now. I'd take any of the 4 IMO, whichever one makes the most financial sense at this point. I'm a bit hesitant to spend 70-100m for Belotti or Morata tbh. It's a lot of money - but then what makes us any better, we do after all expect 100m for Donnarumma
I do not want Bernardeschi - never been thoroughly impressed by him at all tbh, and again he's mainly RW like porcho said.
In midfield with Biglia & Kessie wrapped up, I'd expect our next signing to be the big name. If it's James Rodriguez I'd say we're all but set to win the scudetto as long as Montella can put together some decent chemistry.
Finally, apart from signing Keita & our big name striker, I do believe we need at least 1 attacker, maybe even two if Niang leaves. We lost Ocampos, Deulofeu, Honda and Bacca/Niang look on their way out. 5 players out, only two in will leave us way too thin. Thankfully, it looks like we're going to sign Ghezzal from Lyon on a free transfer. I actually read that we're trying to conclude that deal in the next week or so, what are your thoughts on this player?

The 25-year-old will be out of contract next month.
"Milan are interested in my brother Rachid," agent Abdelkader Ghezzal told Mediaset Premium.
“There was already a meeting a while ago. The door is always open, we'll see how this pans out."
It's a smart move imo, we were looking at Papu Gomez, but why spend 20mln euros for a sub? Bear in mind, I don't know too much about Ghezzal, but from what I've seen he looks at least capable enough to be a solid & reliable sub/rotational player and he'll be free.
