Summer transfer window 2017
Agree and disagree Geo. Is he a little overrated? Sure looks like it at the moment. He definitely wasn't worth the 40mil that Bayern paid, that's for sure. But hardly any 18 year old is.

But there is talent there, and I would definitely not rule out him becoming a world class player. He just needs to play, and most of all, he needs to be given confidence to do his thing. Imo, the biggest difference between Renato a year ago and Renato now is confidence. During the Euros with Portugal he was fearless. Came into every game and changed it. He was given the freedom to play and make mistakes. This year's Sanches is a scared player. I saw it at Bayern, and I saw it at the U21 Euros. He plays too safe, doesn't want to make any mistakes and he doesn't influence the game. This is not the type of player he is. Clearly he is doing this because of the lack of playing time. When you only get on the field once in a while, you tend to wanna make as few mistakes as possible.

Anyway, I would not take him in a dry loan. Option to buy or nothing. We will not develop players for others. But apart from that, I think he is a very good option to rotate with Kessie. Not my first choice, but I would be very happy if he came.
Also a new Ghezzal rumour, he is Bosman

It's the main part of your message : we shouldn't develop players for other clubs. I also see 2 cons for the player first and for Milan then :
- the player won't be guaranteed any playing time with us (except clauses in the contract as it is sometimes done), so not sure a loan in Milan would be a good option for him
- by taking such a young player on loan and making him play, we would send the wrong message to our own youngsters (let's just imagine what could think Locatelli by seeing a midfielder of the same age coming on loan, having no future in Milan and being favoured over him)
One should not speak ill of the dead.
So stop laughing at Juventus !

A pretty useless player ... Not a starter in Lyon and able to create some problems, no need to have him in Milan.

Pepe would be a great signing for any team!
I agree with what you are saying. This is why I said "loan + option" or "nothing". If we have no option to buy him, than we shouldn't even think about it for the exact reasons that you listed.

Anyway, as I said, I would take others ahead of him. I really think we should revisit the Ante Coric option and possibly explore someone like Koziello. But, if we have a chance to bring Renato for a very low fee (must have an option to buy), than I think it's something to think about.

Can't say I know much about Ghezzal.

Pepe from Real Madrid ?
He's already signed for Besiktas who "stole" him to PSG.
Looking at his wages, I'm happy we didn't even consider him.

football-italia is not a reliable source.

Howerver, at least they are correct with the "Official" tag:
http://www.football-italia.net/105639/of...gn-bargiel

Przemysław Bargiel, not yet 18, for the Primavera.
lol, that same football-italia website claims we have a personal agreement with Bonucci for 7mln euros/season and are offering DS+Cash for him.

Don't really believe that rumor too much, but I have read almost everywhere that Mirabelli will not give Juventus De Sciglio unless they include one of their players in the deal.
Football-Italia just recycles news guys. They don't come up with any of this stuff and they ALWAYS cite sources in their articles. For example, the Bonucci thing came form Mediaset Premium.

Football-Italia's problem is that they don't pick and choose. They see a piece of news in some website, and just translate it, cite it, and put it on their website. They even translate articles form calciomercato....which is by FAR the worst out there. These people literary make up crap half the time.

What they are great for though is translating interviews and press conferences, etc.
