It's kind of funny how UEFA handles these FPP violations. So the way they want to punish a team who is in financial stress is to fine them more money? The whole purpose of the FPP is to help teams be able to to stay afloat financially and they are making things worse with their punishment.
Slap on the wrist if you ask me. I'm content with that punishment
Sky report that UEFA are expected to turn down Milan’s proposal to attain the Settlement Agreement. There will be a hearing in June with Milan potentially risking their participation in European competitions
Very worrying. Apparently the reasons are:
1) Uncertainty regarding the loans
2) Uncertainty around Yonghong Li
3) Doubts about proposed revenue plans in China
This really comes at a terrible moment for us, definite cause for concern
This is so bad. It throws the whole future of the club up in the air, and could condemn us to mediocrity and uncertainty for years to come. If we can't buy players this summer we're completely screwed. Getting kicked out of Europe would be terrible too. And then there is the damage to the club's image. And probably UEFA are right too, that's the worst part.
Here is the thing that I dislike about this situation. I personally do not know anything about Yonghong, and it sounds like the rest of the world doesn't know who he is either. With that being the case, how is UEFA making the judgment call that Yonghong is a broke bum who cannot and will not pay his debt? This entire proceeding sounds incredibly arbitrary to me. If you want to fine a club millions, kick them out of European competition and apply other sanctions, then you need to have cold hard facts to back your claim. Yonghong is essentially being made to be guilty until proven innocent by UEFA. I know I am biased here, but this whole thing just doesn't sit right with me.
Well we as fans are in the dark regarding the whole finances but the club would have presented all the facts to UEFA in order to show that we can satisfy FFP. So if anyone would have the facts, it would be UEFA. If despite all this they are still concerned our finances, it is quite worrying. If we get kicked out of Europe and can't sign players, it will be an absolute disaster.
Siamo a posto cosi.

We might not have all the facts, but Elliott does. I have a hard time seeing an American hedge fund loaning 300 million to someone who is nameless, worthless and can't possibly pay them back for no reason. If UEFA has some higher standards when it comes to financial capability of the ownership, then they should clearly outline it. Matter of fact, if they really are this serious about the financials, they should be in the approval process for any new owners coming in, like the way NBA and NFL approves new owners. They are talking about kicking Milan out of EL for losing money, but they did almost nothing when Man City did the same thing and PSG blatantly abusing the rule by signing ridiculously bloated sponsorship deals. I don't mind UEFA punishing Milan for violating the rules, but the punishment cannot and should not be this arbitrary. This FFP thing feels more like UEFA arming itself with the power of judge, jury and executioner than anything else.
Financial situation = Dire or so it seems.
Im honestly not bothered. We'll know soon enough (October) what the craic is whether Li has moneys or whether he put everything he had into this and screwed himself with loans.Dont expect much this summer.Dont care if we're thrown out of Europa League , pretty sure only FIFA can enforce a transfer ban and not UEFA Correct me if Im wrong.
