Quite excited to see the Caldara - Romagnoli partnership in the new season. Not as thrilled about Higuain but he's definitely a couple steps up from what we currently have! Like many have mentioned, if we sign a winger and CM then we definitely have to be aiming for top 4!

Considering we're playing Hakan out of position on one wing, Suso who's highly inconsistent and at times slowing us down on the other and have Borini as their backup, I think taking a chance on Bernard makes sense. With the prices of today and the FFP hanging over us I had no expextations that we could completely fix this team during this transfer window alone anyway, but it seems we're trying as hard as we possibly can.

That is the plan for sure, Higuain was the big splash this summer. Unless someone comes in and takes Donnarumma off our books for a hefty fee, Leo will have to be prudent with the rest of the signings.

Take this one with a pinch of salt for now, but there are rumours of us getting Hirving Lozano according to l'Oracolo twitter.

He's coming off the back of a phenomenal season at PSV (bear in mind the Dutch league isn't good quality these days) and had a great World Cup with Mexico. His agent is none other than Raiola, but the relationship changes with Mirabelli out and Leonardo was reportedly meeting him in the past week or two. Finally, he was previously linked to Arsenal and has a release clause of around 35m.

In terms of fit, if he comes he'd surely slot in on the left with Hakan either LCM or AM in 4-2-3-1. Lozano is very quick, direct, scores quite a lot and is 23. Simply put, on paper he brings a lot of the qualities we've lacked in the past season. I think with him and Bernard, we'll have a lot of depth and quality on the wings, with the line of 3 being Suso, Calhanoglu and Lozano with Halilovic, Bernard and Bonaventura as backup.

Gomez to Palmeiras is great, any ideas on money?

Finally, Atletico supposedly heading to Italy to discuss Kalinic. For the record and just as I'm having fun with the idea, I'm still convinced we'll see Pato in a Milan shirt again Kalinic to Atleti, Silva seems out as his shirt was taken by Higuain and I can't imagine Bacca is staying. Therefore, we'll be left with Higuain and Cutrone, one spot frees up and so does the #7. (for the record I'm not particularly excited about the prospect of Pato returning, I'm not one that likes to look back and see returns for previous players, but I just think it makes a lot of sense).

That's a good side, although a long way to go before we know about Rabiot and Lozano.

I love Pato but no thanks to his return. I'd rather we keep Silva now that we have spent 40 mil on him.

Lozano would be worth the gamle to me, he looks very exciting and as a type I could see him settle well in Italy.

Regarding Silva and Pato, to me it depends what formation we will utilise predominately. If Gattuso sticks with the 4-3-3, then we’ll have Higuain as a starter and I hope that Cutrone will be the main sub for that lone striker position. If that is the case, then it is a waste to keep Silva as well, young players need time on the field to develop, and we simply don’t have enough games for two young strikers with Higuain as a starter. I’d rather loan Silva out, let him develop and either make use of him next season or sell him when his value has gone up. In that case, an older players that require less time on the field would be preferable as a third striker, I wouldn’t mind to see Pato return in that role.

If we would switch to a classic Milan with 2 strikers and a diamond midfield, then I’d start with Higuain and Cutrone, keep Silva as the main sub and find a striker willing to the fourth in the pecking order.
