More like a player that's been sautéed with some Rijkaard-Essien seasoning with the base ingredient being Pogba. Except stronger.

He reminds me of Desailly. Great physique, skilled, and great sense of positioning.

This guy already looks like a world class veteran. I know it's early on, but he's easily showing to be the purchase of the summer.

When we signed him I was like "28 is a little high but this market is a mess"

now I'm like "ONLY 28mill? BARGAIN!!!!"

Me too, I feel quite the same about most of our signings, specifically Rodriguez & Silva apart from Kessie.

Rodriguez is just overall solid, no leaks in this guys game @ all.

Silva I can see immense talent. We took him under everyone's radar IMO. Another 20+ goal season was coming again at Porto and by then it would've been too late.

Completely agree there RR flew under the radar because he was stuck playing cb last year or he would have gone elsewhere for significantly more.
And Silva is definitely talented. Another good season would have found us paying 60mill for him.
Also very happy with Conti, and of COurse Bonucci... 40mill for Bonucci is beyond a steal especially in todays market... Top 3 CB for less then what City paid for a decent RB

Kessie: Gasp tougher than Gattuso!
By Football Italia staff

Franck Kessie accepts he ‘misses too often, especially from counterattacks’ and claims Gian Piero Gasperini was ‘tougher’ than Milan boss Gennaro Gattuso.
Kessie will be facing former club Atalanta on Saturday, and the midfielder explained the differences between his Coaches past and present.
“At Atalanta I scored more because the style of play was different. Today I get chances but miss too many, especially on the counterattack,” he told DAZN.
“It’s partly because I’m tired when I get to the opposing goal and partly because at Atalanta, I was joined by more players on the break.
“Now there are less around me and I often have to force the shot. Gattuso, however, gives me encouragement every day to give more. He asks me to be braver.
“Gasperini’s training sessions were tougher. We really ran a lot and Gasperini was angrier than Gattuso, even if that doesn’t seem to be the case because Gattuso shouts louder!
“I’m very fired up because the Champions League is the biggest competition in Europe and I’ll do my best to get there.
“Atalanta aren’t our only rivals for the Champions League. We have to think about ourselves first and try to win every game.”
Kessie then clarified why he did not celebrate after Krzysztof Piatek scored the Rossoneri’s third goal against Cagliari last weekend and why he did not take the No 19 back after Leonardo Bonucci’s exit.
“After the goal it’s normal that everyone went to cheer with Piatek, but I saw Calhanoglu had dropped his head after his shot was saved by Cragno, so I went to hug him.
“Right now he needs our support. We also see each other outside of training. Sometimes we have dinner together and talk.
“We arrived in the same period and didn’t know anyone. That’s how we became friends.
“The new owners had asked me if I wanted to take back the No 19, but I said ‘no’ because I feel good with No 79 and, above all, I didn’t want those who had already bought my shirt to spend more money!”

This guy should be fired. He is an employee, and should help the company increase revenue! Grinundwech

Quote:AC Milan's Franck Kessie responds to interests from Chelsea and Tottenham

AC Milan midfielder Franck Kessie has reiterated his commitment to the Italian club despite interests from Premier League clubs.

Chelsea and Tottenham are interested in signing the 22-year-old with the Blues hoping to get the midfielder in exchange for Tiemoue Bakayoko should the San Siro outfit activate his purchase option at the end of the season.

Kessie initially joined the Rossoneri from Atalanta temporarily for two seasons and has signed a five-year contract to join them permanently when the loan deal ends in June 2019.

The Ivorian star has established himself as one of the most consistent players in Gennaro Gattuso's team featuring in 21 of their league matches so far this season.

And he remains happy at the club with the ambition of firing Milan back to the elite European stage after a five-year absence.

“I have five years left on my contract and I’m here,” Kessie told Sport Mediaset.

"We have a great coach who’s doing well and we’re all with him. I feel good and I want to keep dreaming of taking Milan back into the Champions League.”

The combative midfielder will return to Stadio Atleti Azzurri d'Italia on Saturday for Milan's league meeting against Atalanta.

And he hopes to hit the target again just like he did in the past season when both teams settled a share of the spoils.

“I’m very happy to come back to Bergamo,” he added.

“I have to go there as an opponent but it’s still beautiful, at the same stadium, with their fantastic fans.

“It was special to score there last season, but I didn’t celebrate and I’d do the same again.”

Five years left? The maximum length of contract in Italy is only 5 years, I believe. How can he have five years left in the middle of a season? Does that mean that he has already signed a new contract with Milan July 2019 - June 2024?

He was on a loan until now and technically still under contract with Atalanta i guess. His Milan contract won't start until this summer
