Pato can certainly be big. though he has to step up and stay away from injury. right now it seems that he is NOT on the right direction, but with his talent and age, we can always hope!

Cheslea never really wanted Ibra and City was the only player other than Milan, but then City was not a CL team plus they seemed pretty clueless as to how they should play and which players to get unlike who they are today.

As for 15mil is not enough for WC players, well, Sneidjer, Hernanes and Krasic were all gone for 15 mil just a yr or two ago. Maybe Sneidjer was on a discount price but Hernanes and Krasic were not. Jucelei was signed for around 12 mil this Jan. Inler and Vidal were less than 15 mil. Vargas could probably be gone for 12 mil. Milan just needs to look at players and judge them not only by their talents but how well they would play under the current system. On top of that, they should stop saying stuff like they will sign so and so and end up with a bench player. There is nothing wrong with not spending crazy amounts for players but dont wait around for bargain players and hope that they will play well and fit in.

This is not something that you would like to hear, Gabriel. I read in a Chinese forum that Milan has started talk with Seedorf in extending his contract for yet another year. I personally don't think that's possible, first, that media has a reputation of making up crap as they please; second, it doesn't seem like something that we (Milan) would do - we are getting so cheap, and I suspect that this is WAY too early for that talk. It may still happen, but way too early.

Our team has too many old players that are not willing to run or not capable to run. The problem is of course with those "champions."

it would be reasonable. Usually when a team win something important, the players get less hungry (motivated). Look at Milan after 2007 and Inter after 2010, however it is pathetic we are already looking like this with only a scudetto win from last season.

To make it worse, Allegri doesn't seem to give the youngster much confidence. He only uses them when he has no other option at all. He would bet on Oddo or Bonera instead of El Shaarawy.

By the way, I agree with Bonera effect. He is actually not a horrible player, but damn, this poor guy always brings bad luck to us. He only made like 2 or 3 mistakes, but we could never win with him. I guess it is beyond statistics, it is the morale issue.

Yeah and they sent away two promising young players who proved themselves to be mentally and technically sound at this level last year and gave Seedorf another contract after impressing in roughly just as many weeks as those youngsters. Some progress huh?

Also, I believe that it has to do with Milan being a "big club" and can't afford any risky move in this highly commercialized football world nowadays. We will never have another Maldini or Baresi who can get their first game at a young age and continue to get playing time. Abate played his first CL game for us in 2003, but was sent away on loan for several years until his recent return.

We can not "afford" them anymore, and we do not have the gut to do that.

We should have kept Merkel and Strasser, after all, they have had some nice experience and would continue growing in Milan. Now I actually think that they may not come back to Milan.

Jucelei,inler and vidal is better than nocerino,monty and constant,but it's no level gap between this 2 groups.it save us 30 mln,we might get our next fundimental guy with this sum.

I don't have problem with our bargain players policy,it work out exceptionally well.abate,seedorf,van bommel,cassano,nocerino all almost free,ibra and robinho also bargain player in some sense.our whole team is a bargain team.and there were pirlo,cafu,pancaro before,will be monty in near future.almost every bargain player fit in.

The important part is to find our future ballon d'or contender somehow.we are supposed have a big fund saved for that upgrade buy compared to inter and juvetus spending in recent years.

First off, Abate has always been a Milan player.

Emerson, Bonera, RO, Mancini, Contra, Morieno, Papa, Mattioni, Grimi, Cardacio, Viduez, and Dilac were also bargain players.

Anyhow, maybe Vidal, Inler and Jucelei does not worth 30mil more than Nocerino, Aqua, and Urby now, but they could be and on top of that those three can actually be in the starting lineup even if all Milan players are healthy. Now, if someone like Cesc, Messi or CR7 were to leave their club, would they rather choose to play on a team with a midfield trio of Vidal, Inler and Jucelei or a trio of Nocerino, Aqua and Urby?

If we get vidal,inler and jucelei, where do we find the money to get the big player? vidal,inler and jucelei or monty,nocerino and constant plus MrX, which transfer plan we choose is what we are talking here.

I say monty and constant instead of aqua and urby,I think they are our initial targets this summer.It's obvious we have already reached an under-table agreement with monty,and a co-owner deal with genoa about constant.the management in no hurry is because they think our veteran can at least hold one more year due to their form last season.

Honestly, with the current midfield, even Messi can't get CL glory to Milan. A superstar signing will probably make Milan better but the current Milan is far from being a signing away to be in level of Barca and Real, not to mention ManU, City and Bayern.

Put it this way, yes, Milan won the league last year but was it down to 1 superstar signing? It is true that MVB, Cassano, Robinho, Ibra and Boateng all played great and contributed to Milan getting the title, but without the core of Pato, T.Silva, Abate and Nesta, I really doubt they could have won the league. But they still could not managed to score a goal in two games against the Spurs. While also winning the league with relatively weak competitions. The only team that got close to challenge Milan was Inter but the closed they ever got were two points.

Say, if Milan did signed Jucelei, Vidal and Inler, they probably would have sold Gattuso to Anzhi, getting 10 mil plus freeing up another 10 in wages before tax. Would not renew Ambro and probably put Flamini out in the market and earn about 8 mil in transfer fee, saving another 8 mil in wages before losing him for nothing next summer. Thus, then you add in the 6 mil for Aqua, and Milan pretty much spend about a few mil more than they would now.
